I usually go to the one on U Street. I always get the same thing-- 2 Deluxe cookies and 2 scoops of ice cream. It's always the same price $16.72 (or something like that). I've been to this location twice in a week. Last week, I went in around Sunday am at about 130 am. The lady at the front was kind of standoff-ish and said something like "we're shutting down" when I inquired about something. I'm thinking "it's like 1:45. I could see if it was 2:30 am because they close at 3am". But whatever. I wasn't gonna argue with her and ordered something that was available, instead of my usual flavors.
I went this morning at about 1:15 am. The clerk was helpful, and I asked about the cookies I always get and he says "oh, nobody really orders those. We usually have them!". Me: okay, great! (That's awesome). So, I order my usual, and this time, the price was different! I tell him I always order the same thing, and it's the same price. He showed me on the screen, so I'm not sure what was going on, but I sacrificed a scoop because it was usually more expensive. I dunno, but just weirdness all around.

It's a cookie store, we walked in and the house first thing you see is ice cream. There are no cookies to be seen or found. You have to look at some tacky menu on the wall.
We said hello to the lady behind the counter and she grunted something.
After looking at the menu board we selected a cookie and a brookie, we paid, she grunted something again and walked in the back. She came out 5 minutes later stuck out her and shoved two bags at us.
These are not fresh made, the cookies at Wegmans are far better and far cheaper.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Honest Opinion
So I went here last night I ordered some cookies and a brownie I spent almost 40 bucks I ask the man was the brownie hot he simply said oh we Dont sell nothing cold I thought my brownie would at least be warm you know like the kind u go to clydes and order hell I never asked for a hot brownie and it was something other then hot now that wasn't a problem the problem was when I ask if they could heat it up or had a microwave child the look they gave me before he did say no and it was because the ice cream my brownie was cold witch is a lie I like my brownies hot and I would have never brought it if it wasn't hit and warm are to different things and it wasn't even warm I let my son eat the ice cream and we throughout everything even the cookies its like the vibe went from cool to I wish I would have went to Thomas SWEETS ITS SO GOOD AND ITS A BLOCK AWAY I will take this up with my bank its other things I can enjoy and get with my 40

It was much too hot for cookies last week but Ray recommended the Key Lime Coconut ice cream which was delicious--I wish they would make this a permanent flavor! Ray was super helpful and provided great service. Looking forward to stopping in again while they still have the Key Lime flavor.

I came here after hearing rumors that it was famous, but it wasn't as popular as I thought, so I was a little disappointed, but it wasn't bad. It felt good to receive it warmly, but the cookie size was very small and thin, so it was a bit different from the cookie texture I wanted. If you prefer thick and soft cookies, I recommend Lebank Cookie over this place!

I generally come here when I need a vegan cookie now that Maman’s seasonal menu has changed. Anyway, they were turning several people away at 5 pm on March 30th “to prioritize a larger order.”Poor customer service brah. Never coming back - as consumers our only power comes from our dollar, or by withholding it.

The food quality here is about standard than the ones from the other Insomnia locations I've been to, but I would definitely say that the service here is really good. Very friendly servers. She was also nice about me working on homework here and using my laptop, which is hard to find in the Georgetown area.
We passed the shop and were curious.The son wanted an M&M cookie and chose two flavors of ice cream... $8 plus tax.For our taste the ice cream flavors were okay but not good either. The cookie was delicious and of course drenched in ice cream at the end.The waitress was visibly annoyed that we interrupted her while she was eating her instant noodles. Completely unfriendly and disinterested. I began to suspect that perhaps we had the wrong skin color. If it hadn't been with my son and I promised him ice cream, I would have left straight away. Worst service ever!
Kid-friendliness: The saleswoman showed my son the same dismissive attitude towards CH as she did to me.
