This is a bar that my mom took me to back when we first moved to D.C. It was a nice neighborhood, black owned spot that was famous for its music and many R&B, jazz,and local musicians visited. Now, many years later, I took my daughter there, and it's owned by different people, but they kept the name because of it's history and what it meant to the community. The food was good, the music was great, and the service was impeccable!!!

Absolutely amazing food, especially the tacos on Tuesday. The service is also extremely professional, warm, and inviting. On the surface it is a cool dive bar; however, the food and service are the best in DC which definitely make it so much more!
