Stumbled upon this gem during a 4th of July trio to DC. It was a great spot to kill and hour and drink a couple local craft beers. Free popcorn and a very cool vibe. Would love to return one day

Simple, simple, honest place, without great pretensions. Very good service from the bartender and staff in general. Delicious and varied craft beers that are worth trying. Free popcorn. Clean and complete bathrooms. A must-see if you like beers on tap and a calm atmosphere with excellent music.

No food menu that I know of, but free popcorn which was great with a drink. We happened to go on Happy Hour and tried some local brews. At first I was put off by the small sign on the street and the flight of stairs to the basement, but the atmosphere was fantastic.

I came to this bar with a large group of work colleagues and had an extremely rude encounter with the bartender (bald with tattoos) on Wednesday, Dec 11. I asked for popcorn (it’s free) and several minutes later I asked for a glass of water and popcorn for the group. Bartender then tells me I need to order alcohol. He gets the water then tells me again that I need to order a drink. Proceeds to tell me again. I am sober. I do not appreciate a bartender making a customer feel forced to drink alcohol. Do not come here if you are sober/pregnant/ don’t want to get drunk. The bar was packed & full of people ordering drinks all night. Next time, don’t tell a stranger they need to drink alcohol. You have no right to say something so weird and invasive.

I was shocked, as a fifty year old man to be denied access at 5.45pm on a Wednesday night by a doorman because I didn't have ID! At fifty years of age! His attitude stank!
Not a good introduction to the city for an out of town visitors.

Walk down the steps and you'll stumble upon truly a JACKPOT of a bar. Great music, fun people , good lighting, reasonable drinks, tvs to watch a game. The bartender Dylan is an absolute gem of a guy. Noble soul. His smiles warms my heart. I want to move to DC and be his best friend.
