Food was delicious. Service was decent and ambience was nice. That was until we paid in cash and requested change so we could leave a 25% plus tip. Server took forever to come back and when she did she advised promptly that her service was not included in the bill. We still left a 25% plus tip but the server just expecting she was owed left a bad taste.

We dined during restaurant week, choosing from the special menu. The courses were hit or miss. The fried eggplant was delicious. The Croquetas de pollo good. But the following dishes were a miss: The Patatas bravas - the potatoes were mushy; Gambas al ajillo and Salmon con pisto - both the fish and salmon had a strong fishy taste and smell - it was a real turn-off. Service was good and efficient. The vibe was fun

First time dining at Jaleo (DC) and it was more than worth the wait!! We've been wanting to dine here for what seemed like years and we finally decided to make a reservation today (during DC Restaurant Week). The experience was fantastic!! From the warm greeting upon entering the restaurant to the drinks and outstanding choices of tapas to the impeccable customer service, what more can a person ask for?
