Service was great! Momo was a very attentive server and was super accommodating. The seasonal soup— leek and potato soup was superb! The food was also very affordable compared to other restaurants in Georgetown

No beer on tap. Got 3 bottles, no glasses given, and a 20% tip was automatically added.

The food was good but the service not so much. Very intense waiter who rushed us into ordering before we were ready.

Food looked/sounded good on the menu. The ambiance was good; it wasn’t truly like a 4 star restaurant though. The service was awful. 2 tables got serviced before us and we sat for around 10 minutes before getting any attention. I guess we didn’t fit the “profile” of this place. We left and went to Circa and had a blast

Places like this is why restaurants within hotels have a bad rep. Also I didn’t listen to my own advice if a place is empty there is good reason why.subpar food. I did the restaurant week menu: squash soup was the highlight, smooth, flavorful and comforting. Cod was ok, needed more seasoning. Forgettable. Spiced cake had chocolate sauce and mixed berries. I didn’t think the sauce and berries belonged. Cake was like blah.Great service though - thanks OmarScammed out of $85

Staff are really nice . That being said, I had a 65 dollar bill for two margaritas and a beer.

The food and drinks were pretty good. Most portions are a bit small. Sides are separate. For the price I would’ve liked a bit more. I left a little hungry. Maybe people go for the experience. I don’t know. The servers were nice. The food came quickly. Drinks took a while but the bartender was a bit busy.

Restaurant was out of main courses early in evening. During dinner employee of restaurant was moving tables and chair by dragging them across the floor creating intense noiseThat went on for at least 15 minutes. Food was ok. Nothing special, not worth the price. Dessert was disappointing.

I had a very pleasant experience here. I stumbled in the Melrose because of the heavy rainfall and there was a beautiful and well organized bar calling out to me. I couldn’t help but take a seat at the counter and order an Old Fashioned while watching the US Open semifinals. The amazing bartender served me the most delicious Old Fashioned beverage I have ever had. To top things off, she used a classical large ice cube so that it would not overwater the drink down. She meticulously prepped the garnish and even gently burned a star anise spice to elevate the flavours. Last but not least, she included this delicious alcoholic cherry that gave this Old Fashioned drink a 3 dimensional experience. I highly recommend this bar and bartender!

The hotel was one of the best looking, comfortable and clean hotels I've been to. The hospitality was immaculate thanks to Lelise and Juan at the front desk. They were amazing. I will definitely book here again.

Used Spot Hero to book parking. A little spendy, but valet Bryant was super patient as I gathered myself and I felt much more comfortable than leaving in a lot. Trip advisor requires two hundred characters so, a sentence like this is necessary.

Thanks a lot to Leslie who took good care of us. We stayed at Melrose 2 nights and enjoyed being so close to Georgetown on foot and to the metro. The metro in Washington DC is just amazing and so easy. Rooms are spacious. Very nice hotel. Thank you

Delicious food! Everything we had was great, and our waiter was so accommodating. A little on the pricey side .

What shined most in my time at The Melrose was my experience with Lelise and Leslie at the front desk! Lelise was beyond helpful and took care of me when I needed a problem solved. One would have thought we were besties with how warmly she always greeted me! Leslie was also super awesome…always checking in with me and being wonderfully attentive. Thank you Lelise and Leslie for making my stay at The Melrose a GREAT one!

We stayed at the Melrose Georgetown for two nights when visiting our daughter who had recently moved to Washington. The Melrose is a lovely boutique hotel in a great DC location. It is in a quiet section of Pennsylvania Avenue - yet walking distance from the major Washington sites as well as Georgetown. The lobby is very pretty and has plenty of comfortable seating. The hotel rooms have nice furnishings and are quite comfortable. The Melrose provides free Lavazza coffee and flavored water in the lobby, which we enjoyed. But what really sets the hotel apart is the professional and friendly staff. Lelise, who checked us in, exudes warmth and is a great ambassador for the hotel. She couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay -- several times asking us whether we needed anything. We will be back, and look forward to our next stay at the Melrose!
