There’s no place in D.C. like Jessie Taylor Seafood. A family owned business for decades, they have taken over all the barges at the Fish Market, the country’s oldest continuously-operating open-air fish market. Located at The Wharf, all the market’s barges sell all types of seafood, locally and from other parts of the East Coast. They also sell ready-to-eat items like steamer shrimp and several soups. There are tables nearby to enjoy your food.
I love this location. There is a good selection of fresh seafood. They also steam your food on location. Parking is difficult but worth the trip. If you are in the DC area make it a stop.
My cousin got a bushel of jumbo females two days ago for $345. Counted it at home…76 crabs. The gentleman gave us extra! We steamed it there. We spent 1 hour and 18 minutes in the underground parking ($23) ?. Less than an hour with validation is $2. If you park at the first short term parking above ground the rate is higher.
