A Capitol Hill tradition. Fun place with reasonably priced food. Cash only but worth it. Still good, still amazing!

Had a great breakfast served by the chef. This place has a DC heart. Big fellerhs probably need a second plate.

A great locally owned and operated business! Nothing fancy, just good food with great people. We will be back!

Local restaurant with great vibes. The service was meh, but understandable for a Sunday. I liked the food, and it's priced well.

I really don’t get the appeal. It’s like going to someone’s house and sitting at a super small table and getting cheap food that tastes pretty basic. I guess if you’re looking for a homey vibe and are a regular, maybe?? But no reservations, cash only, no menus (just up on the whiteboard, hard to read), and so crowded that it’s difficult to move around…not for me. I will say, however, the service is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. It’s so small, in an old row home, and there’s only a few folks working and they do a great job. But, the atmosphere and food is not something I would go back for…especially with so many amazing options close.

The food is good, it’s a classic old school type of breakfast flavor. The restaurant is not that aesthetically pleasing and has a corner store vibe/look/feel to it. Customer service is great.

Where to begin……dirty environment that doesn’t look like it has been cleaned since opening. Was hoping some great food from a local spot. What I received tasted like a young kid was cooking breakfast for the first time, no flavor, bland, terrible portions.
If you are looking for even just a decent breakfast, this is NOT the place to go.

They aren’t welcoming. They all looked, yet said nothing. I stood there got no service so I left. It was a very odd experience.
Best damn diner I ever seen.

If you grew up going to an old school diner, the “vibe” of this place won’t fool you. They serve frozen jimmy dean sausages and pancakes made from a boxed mix. Staff mocked a customer because he asked for ice in his water (instead of the tepid half cups they were pouring). I really turned on this place once they were rude to that guy so this is my first negative Google review. I love “old school” diners because I can get good food at an affordable price served by people I look forward to seeing when I visit. You won’t find that here.

I went with my husband and we absolutely loved this place! It has a special vibe, you can tell it’s run by the owners with care and heart. Classic American breakfasts at super affordable prices.
The drip coffee was delicious and, incredibly, not burnt (a rare find!).
We’d go back without hesitation.
It’s the kind of place where, as a guest, you shouldn’t come to demand just relax, surrender to the experience, and enjoy.
