I went to Jinya to celebrate my daughters bday. Our server was Monique and she was absolutely amazing. She smiled the entire time and she was so helpful. The food was quick and fresh and it was just all around a great experience

Really great food, great ambience and a beautiful space. Service is lovely - the staff have always been incredibly kind and friendly.
Great for big groups & parties - we recently dined with a party of 15-ish and they fit us in easily. Happy hour specials are great if you can make it in early.
They have a really nice fire pit outside that you can sit at and dine around.
Favorite ramens: spicy vegan is SO GOOD; and we love that they have the OG 2010 on their menu, those are our go-tos every time.
Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegan options

My first visit to this Jinya location was fantastic, (note was lunch hour) but my subsequent experiences have left much to be desired. On my second visit during happy hour, our server didn't inform us about the specials. I thought, "No problem," and returned for a third visit. Unfortunately, the server didn’t refill our water or take our mochi order.
Yesterday, we decided to give it another shot, and once again, the server failed to refill our water or put in our food order. We ended up without appetizers or ramen, although she did manage to get the drinks right.
The common factor in all these visits seems to be that our server is also the bartender. For some reason, Jinya seats customers at the left side of the restaurant, where the bartender serves as the server. This arrangement clearly isn't working, as every time we visit between 4:40 and 5:00 PM, the service has been poor.
You might wonder why I keep returning. The answer is simple: it's the closest location. However, I’d gladly drive to Logan Circle, where my experiences have always been great.
It’s so disheartening because I keep seeing those glowing five-star reviews for service, and I keep trying, but after yesterday—sitting at a nearly empty restaurant for 30 minutes without anyone noticing we hadn’t received our food—I was left frustrated.
I don’t blame the server; I blame the management for not recognizing the importance of proper service. It’s disappointing.

The food was disheartening. Meaning below Subpar. Me and my mother placed an order for chicken wings, the shrimp, the Tokyo curry, the house salad, and the gyoza. Only one of the these 5 items were decent
,meaning edible. The food was bland, cold, and overall a crime against humanity. I was excited to try this the food looked great online, however those images were lies!!! A waste of money and I will never return. Maybe I’ll try the ramen but I sincerely doubt it.

Overall, it's a great ramen bar with terrific service and great atmosphere. Food though, can be a hit or miss. I thought my original Tonkatsu ramen was very good, and my kids thought their kids meal were really good. However, my wife didn't like her shrimp wontons and votes a 3 stars. Their takoyaki also had too much mayonnaise and bread coating, and could be crispier. Prices were also slightly higher. Overall, everything evens out to be a solid 4 star restaurant.

I was surprised, the Tonkotsu Black (their recommended ramen) was seriously bland and in need of seasoning. The chashu was average. The side salad had an overly greasy and salty dressing.
On the good side, the gyozas were fantastic, well seared and flavorful. The egg is included with the ramen, which is uncommon, and was perfectly prepared.

Fantastic food and bar.
Dietary restrictions: Wait-staff always asks about dietary restrictions.
Kid-friendliness: Young families are frequently present when I'm there. Seemingly from the surrounding neighborhood. Not crowded in the afternoon.

Amazing place, food was great. I've been to Japan and ramen here was on par! Hand crafted Cocktails were delicious and the Ramen size was good.
Order the yuzu shio ramen or the Miso ramen and you won't be disappointed.
P.S. Bearl was fast and friendly server!
