I'm a big advocate for black owned businesses, but this one was just horrendous. I'm actually typing this as I'm delivering a mobile order. The two associates were just cold and flat out rude. Never recommend even on my own worst enemy.

Place has potential. However the staff is probably the worst part about this place. Condescending, not-welcoming with a side of prejudice just to name a few attributes. Not a smile, Nor a greeting. I wouldn’t come back here even if my ex wife was paying.

I don't customarily write reviews, but the young woman behind the counter today was so hostile that I thought I would make an exception. She was giving me the evil eye from the moment I stepped in, as if I had done something terrible to her. She was speaking in a barely audible voice and was very curt with her responses. It wasn't the kind of attitude you get when the employee is overworked, exhausted, but positively hostile. As for the atmosphere, the music was extremely loud.

Horrible customer service. We waited to place an order for 5mins, because the serving staff was cleaning the machine. When we said “hello” after 5mins of waiting, he looked at us as if we committed a crime, and sternly told us to wait at the machine.
Finally another server came to take our order but no one spared us any smile or a friendly glance.

I go to these restaurants in Miami. Didn't know they were in DC now. I went here for the spicy tuna salad sandwich on a gluten-free bun. I ordered a smoothie called the nutty. I ordered a cold pressed green juice called green tonic. I ordered a ginger and turmeric shot. Overall, I like the food being mostly whole or low processed. generally good
So they took down my last review! How convenient. While this place has such amazing potential with its location and the spacious layout inside, alll the negative posts are spot on. Horrible customer service. Nobody smiles or greets the customers. And as I put in my last post, the music is so loud that you can't talk to anyone if you want to chat. Sound meter shows average 78dB and high 84dB in one minute, 8 to 14 times louder than optimum coffee shop levels. And why, when you post, do they respond telling you to submit your concern on the app? We're already submitting our concerns here. Clearly the owners don't care. It shows by the lack of response to a couple simple fixes that are the responsibility of management. Don't come here in a group or if you want to take a virtual meeting, if you want a pleasant in-store experience.
