We spent a week in Washington trying out a number of restaurants during our stay. We were so impressed with them that we ended going there twice for dinner. Both times were great. Lovely ambiance and great food served by professional and friendly staff. An overall great experience.

We had a lovely dinner in a nice booth. (If you're a bigger person, ask for a table as table is close to bench.) The bread basket and flatbread was memorable. The Pinot Grigio was not very good. Order the Sauvignon Blanc instead. The Branzino and Sea Bass were both very good. They could leave off the mushroom and cabbage off the Sea Bass plate as it detracted more than enhanced. The crab cake was very good. The mashed potatoes were nothing special. The tomatoes were very good. The 1/2 portion of coconut cream pie was good. Order an espresso based coffee instead of drip. Service was excellent! The bathrooms were nice and clean. The restaurant had very nice ambience. You'll need a phone light to read the menu. The temperature of the place was good, not too cold. I would go there again!

Had two different Steak Entrees. Both cuts were purported to be Prime Beef. The Filet was mealy and the Ribey was supermarket grade at best. Service was excelent and the deserts were also very good.

Dinner was a fabulous experience. Our waitress could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend.

I love Joe’s. If I’m in DC, Miami, Chicago, or Vegas, I’m going to have a meal there. Fantastic steaks, amazing, crab, and more. I’m on spring break with my 17 year-old son who is on the spectrum. I asked that he be permitted to eat from the kids menu and was told no. There are very few things he will eat. Austin A’s response was that my son should be able to find something on the menu to his liking. It embarrassed both my son and me. The kid’s menu online does not specify an age. Trust me that I spent plenty of money tonight and would have gladly paid an adult “price” for my son to have some chicken strips. It was never about the money. Joe’s, I love ya, but not everyone is neurotypical. Be a friend to all people. Accommodate special needs. Do better.

The food was delicious. We ordered Oyster Rockefeller no bacon as we don't eat pork and it was fabulous along with a bowl of crab bisque soup. Both were outstanding. The main entree was shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and the seafood platter along with mash potatoes and cream spinach. I highly recommend both. Service was great and the drinks were nice. Great birthday evening.

I have probably eaten at high end steak houses 350 times. This was the worst. For sure the strip steak was not Prime, closer to a poor Choice grade. My wife had a filet and had the same lousy kind of results

A few people from our party commented that the waiter seemed to be a bit dismissive. The garlic spinach was not good and one mixed drink had a fly in it and had to be remade. My wife's order came out with something she had substituted and they took it back to be corrected. Also, the server would not let us order appetizers until he told us about the special(all guests were not there yet) but when all guests arrived, he forgot to tell us about the special. Overall good..but not great.

My steak was fine but my wife's fish was overcooked and dry. The waiter forgot to put our drink order in which delayed the whole experience. He then had to come back and double check the appetizer order. We had eaten there before with much better results. Will likely try another restaurant in DC on our next trip

Unforgettable experience for my spouse (C) and myself, and our three guests, distant cousins from Montana, Wisconsin, and New Mexico. The dining room was crowded, as usual, as Joe's is very poipular in DC. (Guests are seated at theirr tablke only when their complete party is present. Plan accordingly.) Our waiter was excellent, full of energy and knowledge about the menu, wines, and his -- and his colleagues' -- favorites. C and I had their signature stone crab claws, which we have been missing since our last trip to Florida four years ago. Our guests chose other very good dishes from the menu. Deserts were awesome, crowned by special pies. In fine print on the desert menu, half pie portions were available. My "half portion" of Door County (Wisconsin) cherry pie was, to my eyes, a normal size portion, a la mode. Joe's signature Key Lime Pie was extraordinary -- even the half portion we ordered -- about four inches tall, a real stand-out :~) As C and I live an hour's drive (but longer during rush hour) away from central DC, we shall return.

Stopped in on a Monday mid day for lunch. So many food choices. Bonus for stocking non alcoholic beer. (Seems a lot of places don't) Food was delicious. Micheal was my server. He was great. Answered all the questions we had. Beautiful decor. Dimly lit. Will def be back in the future.

Outstanding service from moment of check in throughout the whole dining experience! Knowledgeable waitress and very attentive. Food was amazing, of course the Stone Crab was the star.

The steaks we had were excellent, the service quality certainly could have been better. We had several different servers tending to our table and surprisingly each came across as indifferent. Not what I'm used to at a place I consider to be higher end both in price and food offerings. Of all the top end steak places we went while visiting DC we were surprised by this. Maybe an off night for service. Food overall, with the exception of the cheese oysters, was great.

The food was incredible. And Josh was an amazing server. He went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our evening.
