Got a single patty. It was very hard to find it inside the burger. I really think it was less than a quarter pounder!!! Fries were good though, that’s the 2nd star

The gluten free bun is decent, but a bit dry. Not amazing but I will take what I can get, and I'd rather have that than an upcharge!
Fries and ube ice cream are a nice addition as well, but those get very expensive quickly!

Get the smash burger and Ube soft serve. Smash burger reminded me of In N Out but better. Ube soft serve is huge & delicious. And awesome casual cousin to Purple Patch.

One of the best burgers I've had in a while. The ube soft serve was amazing.
Tasty food. I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because it is primarily a takeout place that has more outdoor than indoor seating. However, it still is a good place to dine if the weather's nice. Excellent burgers.

The burger is great without the sauce, though a little pricey. Love getting the ube soft serve with sprinkles and dipping the fries in it.
A Wagyu Burger double patty is all you need to get. The burger was juicy (difficult to find in smash burgers) and not greasy. The toppings complemented the burger perfectly. I was worried that the veggies and the sauce would make the burger too wet but it was not the case. It was delicious. Definitely making it to my top burgers in DC. The place is small with a couple of chairs outside. Burger is worth it!

Kind of a good burger seeker, but no one makes them better than I do. This place drew my attention when planning a trip to DC and wanted to get away from the crowded streets to a more semi residential area. Luckily we found parking 60 feet from entrance. Sad they dont have handicap accessible accommodations. Placed our order and ate a bar like seating. Received food 5 mins later. Ordered a single patty, fries, and can soda. Burger was ok, no special seasonings or wow factor, just smashed and crispy. Fries were seasoned well and fresh.

Following online very good reviews went there tonight even though I am usually not that much into smash burgers. Joia definitely proved me I was wrong. Even though there’s only one burger on the menu with no possible extras, their smashed wagyu beef patty (had the double patty version) is a killer. The perfectly cooked tasty smashed meat, the unusual toppings, the bun, the assorted “Joia” fries … everything was absolutely great. Not to mention the very lovely staff and the fact it was a really quiet place. Indefinitely recommend the place!

Delicious Waygu Smash Burgers - 1, 2, 3 patties. Fries are great and great selection of beers, sides, snacks. Love the ube soft serve with coconut flakes. staff was friendly too!
