I always go out of my way to stop by when coming up to DC either for business or pleasure. Always went to the DuPont Center location, but that closed because their landlord wanted to do something else with the space. Glad they’re still around though.

I've been coming here for almost 30 years. Now that I live out of state I stock up when I'm in DC. Baked, not fried! Counter service only folks

The empanadas were good and decent size. It was about $18 for 2 empanadas and a bottle of water. I wish it wasn't cash only. Would be nice to have more seating-- there is only one bench out front that is used by customers and non-customers alike.

This is the worst quality empanada I ever had. They were dry and smelled old.

Let’s be honest, as Latino. These are the worst empanadas from every nationality. Salteñas? Deplorable. Jamaican paddies ? Awful. Empanadas ? Sabe HORRIBLE. Horrible tasting, simply fast food built off of a name and convenience. It’s not a food representation of Latin fast food cuisine. It’s awful. MID taste and awful service. I can’t speak more horribly of this establishment. Never act like you sell saltsñas or Jamaican paddies again. As a Latin American, I take great office to your poor representation of our intercontinental cuisine. Retire. Admit your worrhlessness
This place has seriously just downgraded with time. The price for an empanada is nearly 10$. Now, if the empanada’s were fresh and delicious I wouldn’t be complaining. But they sold me an old empanada you could taste how old it was. Probably was microwaved prior to being put out for sale. It was awful and soggy! I barely took two bites and had to throw it out. I’ve been able to find empanadas 2 for 5$ and they may be smaller but are delicious and tasty! Please don’t waste your time and money here. Just go elsewhere on the block get a pupusa from El Tamarindo or a slice of pizza from Andy’s!

Julia’s Empanadas is a gem! Their empanadas are packed with flavor, with a perfect balance between the savory fillings and the flaky, golden crust. I loved the variety—there’s something for everyone, whether you like classic or adventurous flavors. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. Highly recommend stopping by for a satisfying meal!

This place is a classic!!! I've been coming here for a league night snack for 20 years! Still as popular and authentic as ever! They offer both savory and sweet empanadas that always hit the spot!
