I live nearby. This location is never open. Saturday, I checked their hours. 11 am was their posted opening time. I got the order together for my family, ran a few errands, Arrived in their parking lot at 11:23. I walked around to the entrance and they were closed at 11:26 am.
Now that I've read through the reviews, I will not be attempting to order from this location ever again.
I truly do not know how this place remains open? We've tried for years to support this location, but it's never open. Very disappointing because we love the product.

This place is amazing! I always order the fruit empanadas! You can not go wrong with this place. I ordered the fruit empanadas for my office staff and now they are placing their own personal orders buying them by the dozen. This place is awesome and so underrated. If you want a fantastic meal and a delicious dessert try this iconic restaurant in Washington DC. It is truly a hidden gem! Simply the best!

I was patronizing another restaurant on the block when I saw Julia’s empanadas from across the street. I decided to give them a try, and I’m glad I did. Alex was helpful in helping me select some empanadas that he personally enjoyed. I ended up walking out of the store with 5 different empanadas. I got 2 of the Chilean ones (were huge and very meaty), one of the spinach, one pineapple and coconut, and one guava and peach empanadas. They were all delicious! I especially loved the guava and peach!

Expensive but great
I went to this establishment today and I ordered a chicken and spinich and cheese empanada. I spent over 16 dollars for two empanadas which is pretty expensive. The empanada was very hard to bit into and I found hair in my food when attempting to eat the remaining empanada I started. I had better tasting empanadas without the high price point and. I would not recommend this place but cashier was very friendly otherwise.

This place is simple, very tasty and has remained true to this business model for as long as I can remember. The prices are fair and the taste is consistent and a real hit for office parties.

stopped in here on a whim after an appointment and left with a chilean empanada. on paper, i would never think to try it but im so glad that i did. It was delicious. Empanadas are big, cashier was super friendly, and the price feels fair for the size you are getting. $16 got us two.

Julia’s reliably has the best Chilean empanadas in the DMV. The salteñas are good, too. Call ahead for catering quantities and they are very accommodating.

Just a note, they were not open Sunday Aug 25 2023 at 11am and did not look like they are open on Sundays
It’s a quaint carryout go to for empanadas.

Empanada were ok. They were large but didn’t really have flavor . And idk if it was a bad day or just their style of making it but my Jamaican and Chorizo empanadas were really dry. The cashier was nice though.
Delicious and at the same time they look delicious
