Look man, you come here to get good empanadas at a reasonable price price. Get your food and get out. That being said, my favorites are the santeñas.

Has been opened for 25 years in this location. I ordered the Salenta and quickly found out why they have been here for the past 25 years. Amazing. Ask for the hot sauce it's delicious

Julia’s empanadas is one of the Mecca’s of culture in DC. Julius empanadas is very delicious, and very good. Very juicy. Very cultured. I don’t know how to say it any other way, just plain old great.

The empanadas are delicious, but the customer service of that guy who is there is horrible and on the page it says that they close at 3 am on weekends, it was 2:43 and he said we are already closed, they should change their location schedule, since one loses time.

Visited this place because I heard great things! I got the vegan empanada and peach + guava. The vegan one was very bland. The dough was good was the filling was SO flavorless. I had to take it home and add some salt. The peach and guava was also just okay. It definitely would have been better if it was warm. Besides the taste, vibes were great inside and the cashier was so nice. Only downside is that they didn’t have a card reader when I visited.

My friend & I have been looking forward to trying their empanadas after seeing them on TikTok. We finally went there last night for dinner. We had two empanadas, one blueberry one and a vegan one. Both were dry, hard, unflavorful & extremely cold. Which was disappointing. After asking the cashier to heat up the food empanadas it was somehow still cold. Overall, I had high expectations for this place considering they had good reviews. Maybe they had an off night, but unfortunately I would not recommend this place.

Atrociously bad, dry, sour. The Jamaican empanadas were indescribable, the chorizo was just curried potato, and the Salteñas were NOT Salteñas, which are supposed to be akin to a soup or stew in a dough container. All three were dry and sour (my wife thought they were spoiled) and the dough was just awful over baked short crusts.

The most authentic Chilean empanada de pino I have had outside of Chile. Dough, pino, egg and olive, baked to perfection and juicy, totally legit! I highly recommend. The place isn’t pretty, the facade is actually off putting and it’s cash only (I know! Who functions with cash these days?!) But, the empanada was very good! (Note on service, just a young fellow who receives the cash and gives you what you ask-normal.)

Empanadas were old and dry. Selection was minimal.
One suggestion is to label bags that hold empanadas as you cannot tell which is which if taking out.
Service could be improved as staff was lackluster.

I come here because I love their empanadas, still happy because I got some, but the guy there was rude and unprofessional, He laughed at my questions and talk to me on a disrespectful manner, when leaving He laughed at me again, I asked if I did something to offend Him and He said now I did and as I was walking out He come around the desk, I asked Him if He was trying to intimidate me, that I was leaving He said yes you are because I am taking you out and open the door and pushed me out, I got very upset and told Hi He has no right to touch me at what He answered that He did because it was a private property. called the a police and let them handle it as I left. First time I experience something like this.

Very disappointed after this being a great place to go to 7-8 years ago. Bad customer service and the empanadas don’t taste fresh anymore. Would not recommend and they also only take cash which is fine, but keep the quality at high standard at least
