We went for lunch and sat outside which was awesome. We got the beets as an appetizer - they were OK. Then we both got salads. Mine was the shrimp entree (it was actually a salad) and it was excellent. We decided to go back for breakfast the next day. It was packed. Lots of meetings going on and secret service everywhere. We ordered off the menu and it was good but not great.
Service usually is stellar but today the communication with host/waitstaff was off- I asked that the bill not be presented whilst guest was present, but waiter chased after me for signature. Not good. The desserts was delicius. Tuna nicoise was terrible. Shrimp salad was good. Beet salad and burrata, good. It must just have been an issue with the one waiter. Everyone else there are veterans. Wierd. At $200+ for 3p for a very standard lunch, not worth it given this service mishap.
Very ordinary food and expensive prices. T

Took 50 minutes to get lunch served despite having reservations in an almost empty restaurant. My colleague did not have time to finish her meal before her next meeting and had to run. Food below average, but price high, so overall a 2 out of 5. Croque Monsieur, for instance, is supposed to be made with ham, gruyere and bechamel sauce. Mine was made with ham and cheese, and should be called a grilled ham and cheese sandwich and be priced as such. The lettuce was wilted and half brown. Not good. DC has too many good restaurants for this to work.
They should have a better service

Elizabeth and Julio were amazing and so kind. We look forward to seeing them again tomorrow
Oscar our sever was awesome,my wife and I enjoyed our brunch together, also the beverage manager Brain was very helpful to us as well we had drinks the night before and we had a amazing time thanks again for serving us
Crab cakes were splendid. Service (by Elizabeth ) was outstanding. Juniper deserves to be better known.
The service at the Juniper… impeccable
And what a happy accident it was as we had planned to dine at the Blue Duck; however, we stood around for several minutes while employees passed by and never acknowledged us. We recalled seeing the Juniper, and decided to walk on over.
We were warmly greeted by no less than five employees, the atmosphere was lovely, the food quality.
Thank you.

Pretty setting for our 1 PM lunch - surprised it was a brunch menu but there were still great choices for all 5 of us. Good, appropriately attentive service. Everything was tasty. But, $235 before tip with only soft drinks, coffee and bottled water?
The decor is beautiful, the food was good, and amazing staff....
Parking: Parking will be difficult.

Great menu, great service, great flavor. A very good find in NW Washington. A bit on the pricey side, but it is worth it for the combination.
This was a special brunch for my family and overall, the experience was lovely. The food was nice (the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, and the coffee, according to the coffee-drinkers in the family, said it was heavenly). It was really the ambiance and the service that made the experience top-notch.
I made a reservation for brunch on Easter and confirmed twice. When we arrived (on time), our table wasn't ready so they quickly pushed 3 tables together to fit 6 of us in the HALLWAY outside of the restaurant. Are you kidding me??? When we asked about not eating in the hallway, they told us all the tables inside were reserved. It wasn't like we had walked in off the street. We did NOT feel valued. Once we got a waiter, things went relatively better, just slow and a couple items were never brought. Food was not bad. Definitely try to french toast.
