Trini Vybez has is an absolute must-try! Whether you’re planning an intimate date or a fun night out with friends, this spot is perfect. I went on a Sunday night and was surprised by how quiet it was—honestly, it caught me off guard. But once I had the food, I couldn’t understand why this restaurant wasn’t packed to capacity!
I ordered the mixed platter, which included oxtail, curry chicken, and shrimp, paired with cabbage as my veggie side and bussup on the side. Every single bite was spectacular! The portions were generous, and the food was definitely shareable. I left feeling full, happy, and thoroughly satisfied.
The drinks were just as impressive—tasty, balanced, and perfectly complementing the meal. Everything about this place, from the flavorful food to the relaxed ambiance, exceeded my expectations.
Trini Vybez deserves so much more recognition. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and check it out!
Amazing! The food is really good
I honestly wanted to love this place, but I wasn't impressed and I'm really sad about it. I ordered Doubles which are my fav because they are specific to Trinidadian places. They were lackluster, at best. The chickpeas were hard, almost inedible and the dough was extremely chewy like it wasn't made fresh, and it had that reheated bread texture. One was $11, with gratuity, the normal price for Doubles is $2-5 . I will stick to Sunrise Caribbean on Georgia Ave . The only good thing I have to say is the aesthetic is cute and the Bartender was super sweet, but their system wasn't equipped to take cash, which was also weird and inconvenient for a place that has three levels, a service fee, automatic gratuity and a bar.
Fantastic food & service. Roti platter was delish- so much food: protein, roti, daal, pumpkin, greens & chickpeas/potatoes mix. Perfect for the vegetarian or meat lover. Support a local, Woman-owned restaurant. Can wait to try more!
We hit the downstairs wine bar which was so wonderful. The friendliest staff who took the best care of us. Awesome wine tasting. Lots of South African and Black owned wines.
Atmosphere, service, quality were so good. I love the story and what brought this vision to reality. Will definitely be back!
This review is long, long overdue. This food truck came to my job two years ago and i’ve been addicted ever since. I’m from Trinidad and this food is authentic Trini food. The owner is always friendly. The food will be fresh, hot and flavorful. I loved it so much that I hired them to cater an event for me. The catering experience was very easy and pleasant. She was very patient and answered all of my questions quickly. My guests are still talking about it, a year later. Highly recommend you stopping by for some doubles, roti or literally anything this lady cooks. Your mouth and tummy will thank you!

Got the chicken curry - Not a fan of it. Waited 25mins. Super slow service. Too much salt couldn't eat it. Wasted money.
I ordered a catering order for about 20 people for a work event. As soon as I emailed Trini Vybez with my request, I received an almost instant response (not many places are responsive in my experience). They were on time and above all, my colleagues LOVED the food! Very tasty and we have zero leftovers. Will be returning in the future.

I was at a smithsonian event on the mall yesterday and ordered from trini food truck, I ordered oxtail, cabbage, rice and beans and plantains, plus ddrink the total was 31$. The food was horrific they gave me nothing but bones and they ran out of plantains so they gave me extra bones to compensate for the plantains. Food tasted like straight garlic, no spices. I separated the oxtail from the meal so you can see the how much oxtail/bones they gave me, lesson learned, should of checked food before departing, didn't see the disaster until I got home.
Waited for an hour for my food. Then when my number was finally called it was missing an item! The flavor of the food was "ok" 5/10. The wait to was just extreme !!
I hired Trini Vybez for my Birthday party. They were professional, arrived early and served on time. The food was awesome and made the party a hit! Thanks again for making my birthday special
45 min wait time after being told it’d be 5-10. Was informed half an hour after that they ran out so didn’t get the order I placed anyways. :( It was more disappointing that the food was cold and wasn’t that tasty. Not a place I would return to especially given how expensive their menu is for a food truck.
I was very pleased with the prompt , professional, and efficient service!! Needless to say, the food went quickly. The roti and doubles were generously sized…. Very tasty!!! The oxtails were well-cooked and juicy.! Nice job Trini Vibes!!!
