Ate here for lunch with a group. Average, clean, a bit sparse as far as furnishings. Was crowded.

Great value for lunch.

I'd been wanting ramen for a long time, so I decided to stop by Kanji-Kana last week. I'm glad I did! When you walk in, you immediately notice the decorations on the wall: tons of Pokémon cards. I immediately felt at home. I was a little worried at first because it wasn't very busy. Sometimes, that means the food isn't any good. I shouldn't have worried, though. The food was delicious! I ordered the Chashu Pork Ramen: "Tom Yum" style. In my opinion, you can't beat the pork when you get ramen. It came with corn, bamboo shoots, and green onions. It was simple, but filling - exactly what ramen should be. If you ask me, the "Tom Yum" style broth was a little too spicy for ramen. I'd choose the original broth if I were you, but there were a lot of other options that I might try if I go back. Take my advice - give Kanji-Kana a try. You won't regret it.

Staff were very nice. Very clean and relaxing place. Ramen base soup was good, noodles not so much. Takoyaki here is good too.

Really cute place that is reasonable priced and has tasty food.

I liked this place, really tasty. Portions aren't huge but neither are the prices, and you have room for a side if you want. Considering it's downtown the decor could use an upgrade for the "soup kitchen" vibe, but it's a nice place to go be casual.

A great Japanese eatery I don't why Kanji Kana has 3.5 stars. I have lived in Japan, and this is authentic Japanese food. Highly recommended. It is on the thrid floor. I am digging into a bowl of there mushroom ramen with a miso base right now and it is delish. Reminds me of the tiny late night 5-seat ramen shops in Osaka I used to go to when the bars closed, with a mama-san behind the counter whipping up fantastic noodle bowls.

This place has the WORST Ramen EVER!! You literally are paying almost $20 for Cup or Noodles style ramen! The noodles are nasty and taste like instant microwave noodles, you only get 1 maybe 2 pieces of meat, and the broth sucks! If I could give no Starr I would.

Very far from authentic ramen. Not even close.

Worst ramen restaurant I experienced. Most of all, their noodles and broth are obviously from the instant, not their own. As someone wrote, the portion was so small that you wil startl feeling hungry when you go down three floors from the restaurant. Obviously, the chef does not understand what a ramen should be.
