The prices are typical for DC ($12 for a cheeseburger, $5 fries), about what you would pay at a food truck. The drinks ($12 for a can of beer or wine, or $18 for the premium drink wall) are more than you would pay at the store, but aren't bad for a restaurant. And most importantly, the view cannot be beat.

I had a ' chicken salad sandwich ' It consisted of a piece of chicken with a lettuce leaf. No tomato, onion or anything else 😞 Very disappointingly. Not recommended 🤬

I have been to the KC Cafe over a dozen times in the last year for events at different times of the day. They NEVER have anything more than wrapped cold sandwiches.
Make sure you eat beforehand, as this place is only good for an overpriced water or juice.

Tried to get a cup of coffee and the employee ignored us and talked to her friend and when she finally attended to us, they were out of three of the drinks we attempted to order. Employee couldn’t care less.

Just a regular café where many of the foods are overpriced. However, just like the others mentioned, the salad is an exception, of reasonable price, good quality and large portion, which singlehandedly makes this café a good place to eat before the show. Also, their entrance is so inconspicuous.

The sandwiches are very overpriced for the quality - I got a chicken pesto sandwich that had no pesto and barely any cheese. The hot food portions seem much more appropriate for the price, and the coffee bar is also nice.

I was so disappointed in this cafe. It was so overpriced and it didn’t even attempt to be anything other than mediocre. It was in your face. Have a twenty dollar slop of crusty Mac and cheese. There are so many ways they could make this experience better. It was such an in your face money grab. Very disappointed.
