Kilwins Chocolate & Ice Cream

Went with my family and we had the best encounter with Shanita at the encounter. She was super friendly to everyone that walked in. Smiling from ear to ear and just seemed to like her job. I love that kind of energy.

I’m not being sarcastic when I say this, ice cream is so amazing. It is worth the $12 he will pay for two scoops in a waffle cone. Definitely a must stop after a Washington Nationals game.

The best Ice Cream ever with the best and amazing staff members

My experience at Kilwins was, if I could put it in one word, enchanting. I walked in and saw all of the amazing flavors, and ended up wandering into the wrong side of the line. The manager there was so kind and asked me if I wanted to try any flavors. I tasted their cookies and cream, and it was amazing. I ended up ordering that. The experience was accommodating, and I felt welcomed in the store. Thank you, Kilwins!

I usually will not write a low rating review. I figure if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. I had to write this review with hopes that upper-level management will read this. I visited the ice-cream shop today. I came to the Wharf DC to get dinner and ice-cream. I live in the area and have my name engraved at one of the restaurants at the Wharf DC. I spend a lot of money at the Wharf. I notice that they had all young people working with not one manager working at that location (Wharf DC) this afternoon and late evening. There was an issue regarding the ice-cream and when directing the staff in a professional manner, another customer decided that he wanted to involve himself in the situation to the point that he threatened me. There is more to the story that I would like to speak to upper-level management regarding what occurred and how I was treated when entering the shop. Those young people need to be trained and treat all customers with respect, not just the ones who agree with them. That other customer more than likely lives out the area and visited once. I live in the area and visit Kilwins (Wharf DC) over 20 times even with my relatives. I will be reaching out to management.

The young staff at The Wharf location are absolutely fantastic. They greet you with a big smile and are polite. Hats off to whomever does the hiring. Also, the product is fabulous. I live at The Wharf and drop by often so this isn't a one-off review. Well done.

We came 10 minutes past closing time and the staff were so kind and brought us in- about 15 people! Thank you kenora and makien!!!!!!!!!!

The treats here are good, but the staff leaves a sour taste in your mouth. People were hiding on the floor talking g on the phone. I finally asked if there was a problem or if someone was in danger?! The other employees rolled their eyes at customers and a family if 5 walked out because they were yelled at - “the line starts down THERE!” I genuinely love this chain, but the franchise owner here needs to do some employee training. If you do go here, the summer ice cream choices are good and the chocolate and fudge is always divine.

I was so happy to find my beloved Superman and Blue Moon ice cream. I wanted to try the traverse City Cherry but I was was getting too much ice cream as it was. There's lots of little adorable treats in there too and the owner is from Michigan which makes it extra awesome. When I go back to Virginia I will definitely be going here again.
