If you enjoy taking cold showers on an antique unimproves hotel, you find your place. The staff is nice but the hotel is falling apart such as limited hot hater. short shower required. Sorry for anyone after needs to bath afte me. But no hot water.

The hotel was bery nice but there is a strange light that blinks at night like a flash bulb. Its so quick and bright it kind of blinds you even if your eyes are closed. I thought I was just having weird dreams until my Wife mentioned it happened to her as well. Another review says its at the same time as the heat/air kicking on or off. Not sure but its really nerve wracking.

Staff members were profesional and accommodating, helpful and smiled ?Rooms were squeaky clean and spacious. Don’t go to fancy hotels with small / claustrophobic rooms like Hotel Washington - instead choose Royal Sonesta ⭐️

Where do I even start. This was an absolute horrible experience from beginning to end. For starters, I got the jacuzzi room on valentines day but wasn't able to use it. The manager informed us that the hot water would not be back on until the morning. Meaning no shower before or after dinner as well as no jacuzzi tonight. I can't remember the manager at the time name but he was kind and did offer to refund our money for that night. Fast forward to later that night. We get back from our valentines day dinner and decide we would like to eat some leftovers. Now mind you I am in their jacuzzi suite. As I look around the room to my surprise no microwave. Bummer, so I walk down to the front desk and ask to use their microwave. I kid you not I was told that I would have to pay $25 to rent a microwave from them for my stay. I was completly mind blown. Next day, we go to use the jacuzzi and surprise surprise there is no hot water. They send maintenance up and he informed me that we would have to run the water for about 15-20 minutes to let it warm up. I really can't make this up. He wasn't wrong because it did eventually warm up however, the jacuzzi drained for crap so I constantly had to turn the water off to drain the cold water that was standing in the tub. After some work we get into a jacuzzi with one working jet. I'm literally over this place at this point but my experience isn't over. Remember I stayed here for valentines day. Here it is now March 11 and I still have a pending charge for $800+ dollars on my bank account. They take a $100 deposit for each night you stay. I was never refunded the deposit nor was I ever refunded for my compensated night. Ive talked to the hotel three times now. Friday I spoke with the manager Chase who informed me to call back monday so that he could have the accounting department manually process my refund. I did just that today. I called but no answer from the accounting department. So I informed chase of this. He assured me he would walk my information down himself and have them give me a call. I have not heard a thing from anyone. Things happen I understood that with the hot water. Unfortunate situation especially given the occasion but they offered to make it right so no biggie. This however is a whole different level of bad experience now. I travel about once a month and never have I had an 100% beginning til end absolute horrible experience like this. I have nothing bad to say of the employees because everyone was kind. As far as the hotel experience goes dont waste your time just use someone else in the dupont circle area.

I stayed for two nights during a work conference. During my stay I had no hot water and the cable TV and phone did not work in my room. Front desk said they would send an “engineer” who never showed up to resolve anything during my stay.

This hotel has changed a little bit since the time it was the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. Located in the center of Dupont and is a beautiful hotel.Booked the King Spa Studio which is roughly 500 square feet with a marble bathroom with glass shower and rainfall shower head as well as a two person Fuji soaking tub. Room was well decorated and I loved the flat screen televisions on the easles that are height adjustable. It was my birthday and shortly after checking in, the hotel sent a complimentary assortment of chocolate truffles and French macarons! That was a nice treat.Rooms: Spacious and decorated in a modern, funky style. The beds have crisp, clean, white sheets and a white duvet cover on down comforter. None of those filthy bedspreads. Plenty of drawers and closet space. Clean and several options for lighting.Nearby activities: Dupont Circle has tons to do. Bars, restaurants, shops, etc. all in walking distance.Walkability: VeryFood & drinks: Walk everywhere and the metro is blocks away!

One night stay. Very nice staff (bartender Mona Friday night), front desk staff night check-in and morning checkout, comfortable bed, nicely appointed room. Perfect location.Walkability: Across the street from a small good bagel shop (Bagels, Etc.) for breakfast and coffee, and right near a corner sandwich and coffee/tea/all day breakfast cafe (Soho Tea and Coffee)

I was in DC for work. I was surprisingly delighted by the Royal Sonesta. The property is well maintained and stylish. The rooms are suitably sized, and the bathroom was quite large and comfortable. The DuPont Circle location is very well situated. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Tyreen greeted me with a smile and was genuinely concerned about my experience at the hotel. I will definitely consider the hotel again for visits to DC. I tend to stay at luxury hotels for pleasure, and Westin type hotels for work, just for points of reference.

This was a fabulous hotel. Super convenient, close to Union Station. The staff were very friendly & helpful even though we were there with a large group. The restaurant was FABULOUS - went there for breakfast, highly recommend! I would definitely stay here again.Nearby activities: Not far from all major sites, walkable to Union Station and some restaurants.Food & drinks: LOVED the breakfast! Chef’s kiss! ?
