We came here for a special brunch with friends from out of town. We were greeted by a very nice hostess and seated immediately in a private room by the window. Amazing. Bloody Mary's were delicious and the food overall was very good. It was not buys at all but 20 minutes after ordering we were served only 3 of our 9 entrees. 10 minutes later 3 more entrees arrived, 5 minutes after that 2 more arrived. They totally forgot one of our entrees. When we asked the server what happened she said they must have overlooked it. 5 minutes later the last entree arrived. They apologized and said desserts would be on the house. We ordered 2 brownies and 3 vanilla ice creams. When the bill came they took off the last entree and one brownie. We paid without complaining but felt they shouldn't have charged us for the desserts. It also took a long time to get the bill. We were very disappointed by our experience here. What was supposed to be an hour and a half brunch turned into a two and a half hour ordeal. I'd return for the Bloody Mary but we will find somewhere else for brunch.
Second visit to the King St. Oyster Bar. Trying different items to see what is good. Chargrill oysters are good. Some work is needed on the crab cake sandwich.
Very disappointing service. Disagreeable attitude of server. Refused to agree that coffee was cool instead of hot. Dirty dishes. Server not around to service when needed. Not surprised, it’s mostly empty.

For a seafood place, their seafood was okay, maybe their sweet spot is oysters. They couldn't tell us what fish was in the ceviche. Potato chips were a bit overdone, but still tasty in the blue cheese sauce. Jambalaya was okay with a lot of sausage, shrimp and crab didn't seem fresh as both were quite fishy tasting. Fried oysters were large. Food came out quickly. Good service. Very quiet and slow for a Saturday night, enjoyed sitting outside on the patio.
One of my favorite places to solo dine. Did I mention the oysters are a 1.00 (HH OYSTERS ONLY) I also enjoyed their mocktail.

Food was fair, but service was poor, food was expensive and when I asked if they validated parking, they said to go to Wegman's! Won't go back.
I eat in restaurants a lot and this was the worst experience I have had in a while. The problem appears not to be with the staff of the restaurant, who clearly tried hard and were pleasant. Rather, the owners of this establishment, whoever they may be, appear to be cheap and lacking in any sense of what makes a restaurant experience enjoyable. Two examples. First, my friends and I wanted to order a bottle of wine. The wine list was extraordinarily short. Only 5 whites and 5 reds and a couple of sparkling. Then, it turned out that in reality they no longer stock the only 2 dry white wines on the list. I ordered a beer. The manager spoke in real time to the owner about this situation and reported that wine sales had not justified bothering to have wines on hand. Pretty remarkable for a restaurant in Washington, DC!! Second, even though the City Ridge complex in which the restaurant is located is built on top of a garage where one pretty much must park, King Street does not validate parking. We were told to stop by the Wegman's grocery store on our way out and validate there. Not good. I wonder if Wegmans knows about this. The manager was terrific. Not her fault. Our waitress was terrific. Not her fault either.
Manager Chris, Cinnamon, bartender Chris are always on point. Thanks for always providing excellent customer service and a memorable experience.
Great happy hour! Oysters and apps were excellent and a great deal. Highly recommend!

This was my 1st time at this particular location I usually go to the other location but decided to try this location out and I instantly regretted it. The host was rude when we first walked in there was a woman who after listening apparently worked there but was off that day and come to order food. Her order was long but we stood there patiently waiting, the woman who was placing the order than asked the host did she want to seat us then she could finish up with her after to the hostess responded “ No I don’t they can wait “ with a nasty attitude. Then after she was finish she wanted to speak to us politely which I responded back quick and short. Then our waiter seemed to be in a mood but seemed to be more friendly with the other guest. I’ll never come back to this location the service from the time you walk in is horrible

The first time we have ever not tipped so we feel like we have to explain why. We were not served water for 30 minutes, never received all the place settings we needed for our party (though we asked) and we were charged for oysters that arrived after our meal. Call me crazy, but appetizers are supposed to arrive before the meal. We said, “so sorry we wanted those earlier but we are ok now.” They put them on the table next to us and charged us even though we didn’t touch them. So we didn’t tip to make up for the price of the oysters. Would not recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice atmosphere or good service.

I’ve been here many times and while service can be slow it’s normally worth it. Today was one of the more bizarre dinning experiences I’ve had. It took over an hour to bring our food, and my “clam linguine” was obviously just the little neck clams they’d made by accident with some noodles put on top. Wild to think that would be ok but then when I talked to a manager about the food taking forever and not being even close to what I ordered she became confrontational because we ate it (again sitting for over an hour before any food came out so quite hungry). They covered the “linguine” and one glass of wine. In my opinion and experience in restaurants, we were stuck at this restaurant for 1.5 hours and then given food that clearly wasn’t what we ordered, this should have been an embarrassment that they were apologetic and hospitable about but instead I had to ask the manager to calm down.
Saturday night party of 5 with a reservation for 6:45pm took 15 minutes to be seated. 10 minutes more for waitress to come by. We put in apps and entrees at once and then Apps and entrees all came at once. Requests on entrees screwed up. Food was meh at best (wings are good). Mocktail was terrible. And it was expensive. Total disappointment. Have had better meals in an airport.
