I really like the interior. However, it’s kinda small not like the pictures show. Their pastries are limited and they don’t serve breakfast. Their breakfast is ready to go meals

This is probably one of my favorite cafes in DC! The ambiance and décor are nice, the drinks are great, and the service is friendly.Wifi: Solid and does not require loginLaptops: Great space to work and studyMusic: Not too loudOutlets: 40% of seats have outletsLocation: Wheelchair accessible, easy to find.I highly recommend for remote work!

Really friendly staff and a beautiful decor with comfy seats. The banana nut muffin was pretty good and their matcha latte is delicious. Unfortunately, the espresso was majorly over extracted and tasted pretty awful. They have bottomless portafilers on their espresso machine so I saw the terrible espresso channeling. Please train your staff on how to make espresso correctly, especially at this price point. In short, cute place but the coffee is what you're coming for then it could be a miss. Fix the coffee and this place is 5*

Def the vibe for labtop working - tons of different seating options from booths to smaller tables to larger working tables for big crowds. Lots of plush carpet, outlets and while not too many eating options the coffee was strong and made quite well. As others mentioned, service is OK and I wish the hours were longer (they close at 3pm everyday). All in all can't wait to return here to get in more computer time.

Stayed for a weekend getaway with my husband. First time traveling since the pandemic. Everything was clean and we had no issues. Every single employee we interacted with was fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are beautiful and the advocacy Eaton stands for is inspiring. Will definitely be back!

My gf and I thought we'd try out Kintsugi bc it was Memorial Day and we had the day off! Kintsugi is closed on the weekends so we couldn't make it work during then. It is located right in the Eaton hotel and has a small name tag (it's easy to skip right over). We got there at 2:20 pm and it was closing at 3:00pm. The pastry selection was a bit lackluster, not sure if it is always like that or because we arrived near closing time but nonetheless we ordered their Kintsugi special iced tea, an Oat Milk iced coffee, their Strawberry Rhubarb tart, and their Brown Sugar Cinnamon tart! Both tarts were great but the Strawberry Rhubarb tart didn't have much Rhubarb taste to it. Not a huge iced tea fan but their special tasted like hibiscus and ginger which was nice and refreshing on a hot Monday! The iced coffee was great too. Overall, a good experience, their decor screams hipster but in the good way lol.

Truly enjoyed my stay at the Eaton. Short turnover but loved the accommodations. Staff were friendly and well versed. Rooms were cozy! I love the record player. Great sleep. Restaurant downstairs had a nice selection and food was great. Will be returning.

TLDR: Nice place to work/catch up with friends, not so great place for coffee. I'm not sure if it's because of the barista that day or what, but I'm generally in agreement with the reviews that said this place is overpriced and the drinks are not that great. It was also a little smaller than I expected, but still a good amount of seating. I have been wanting to come here since pre-covid but could never come when they were open, and then when the pandemic hit I felt like I missed my chance, so I was VERY excited to come here finally on a weekday morning to do some work. Of course, I was immediately impressed by the decor. Its a very cute place, and I enjoyed hanging out there, but I found the food and drinks to be very pricey and not that great. The wifi is shared with hotel next door, and there was a good amount of outlets everywhere and seating. I think if you're staying next door it's convenient, but certainly not somewhere I'd come everyday. Drinks - Coffee: The coffee honestly tasted like bad hotel or diner coffee. It was pretty pricey, and it wasn't until after I left the counter when I saw the coffee + pastry for $6 deal. I wish I had known because my boyfriend bought a pastry separately lol. - Iced latte w/oat milk: This was for my boyfriend, and while we might be wrong, we both agreed it tasted like regular milk, not oat milk. But didn't seem like his stomach got too upset or anything so maybe it was?? Anyways, either way it wasn't the best latte and that place his blueberry muffin was not worth $9 Food - Blueberry muffin: A very typical, soft, moist blueberry muffin. I personally prefer it a little crumblier, but it had lots of blueberries in it which was nice. They have other food options (like prepackaged salads/bowls) if you're looking for a quick lunch, but I did not try any of it. Ambience Nice place to do work and hang out. I think it is more of a social (aka not as quiet) cafe as some people meet up for business meetings or whatever since it is right next to/connected to a hotel (Eaton), but it could also just depend on the time of day.

I had a wonderful experience at the Eaton and plan to stay there again if and when I return to DC. It’s a beautiful and well run facility. The staff is accessible and helpful — Much better than a large, chain hotel where you are treated as one of many customers. The location is also ideal - walking distance from most monuments and museums but also very close to great restaurants and bars.

This coffee shop is AMAZING. It is large and airy and beautiful. I am really into coffee quality and beans and the coffee here is good. I think roasted from somewhere in VA. But really the 5 stars is for the vibe. There are lots of plugs for working. I came two days in a row and had a 2 lovely barista. One made me an amazing turmeric latte. I think he said his name was Kenneth? Oh the pop-tart is AMAZING.

We had a blast and our little pup was super welcomed! Best dog friendly hotel I’ve ever been. Our dog was able to stay while we were going around town and Washington is also super dog friendly. Will definitely come back.

I really enjoyed my experience here! The ambiance is amazing and is the perfect spot to study and get some work done. I ordered an oat milk iced latte and it was pretty good! The barista was very friendly and I even received a 20% off coupon after my first visit.I just wish they were open on weekends!!

Love the atmosphere here, not a lot of space for a party bigger than two, but plenty of outlets for studying and a cool relaxing vibe. Definitely would recommend, especially on a nice day when they open up the shop to the street

The only reason that I'm generously giving this coffee shop two stars is because of their amazing barista JoJo. JoJo is a ray of sunshine amongst a staff that is incredibly rude--this extends to the manager as well. I was initially attracted to Kintsugi as a chic cafe in which to do remote work, but I will no longer patronize their business, as I simply cannot tolerate their blatant lack of basic manners. Please, I beg of you, support any other local coffee shop before giving this terrible establishment your money.

The atmosphere of the café is really nice but very disappointed by the beverage. A watery latte...not coming back.
