See Brenda! Excellent server and beer guide.
This place is really amazing! We sat out on the heated porch. I had the Shepard's pie and my husband had the lamb burger. The food was high quality and tasty. The only reason why they lost a star was bc of the high prices and both meal were a little small considering the price. It's definitely go back though.

I stopped in here during "the holiday boat parade and party". It was soo cold outside yet soo warm in there! Literally lol. The atmosphere was live, buzzing, friendly, and inviting! I didn't eat anything even though the foods looked and sounded very interesting. What this review is based on, is the whiskey sour they makes here. It was made with Jameson and it did not miss. The bartender at the upstairs bar really makes it the best. You gotta come here and try this

Live Irish music every Sunday from 4-6! The bartenders are very attentive and make some great cocktails. The fish and chips were nice too.

Stopped by here to grab a night cap after having just had dinner up the block, and we were stopped by the door guy and told that we could not bring our *sealed and and bagged dinner leftovers* in with us to get a drink because "we don't allow any outside food." Absolutely bizarre.

We actually had planned to go to another restaurant and ended up coming here instead. It was a very happy accident. This place is so cozy. Kader was our waitress and she took care of my gluten allergy perfectly. We had a Guinness & the Ramon with the Spinach dip, Risotto, Chicken Curry, and GF brownie. All of it was presented nicely and tasted wonderful. Really hope to come back to The Wharf soon and join Kirwan's again. :) Thanks!!
Dietary restrictions: Pretty good selection for Gluten Free

Stopped here for an early day lunch. First time visiting the wharf and this place stuck out nicely. Ordered their burger medium and it was cooked to perfection. Fries were light and fluffy but still Crisp. Food hit hard. Service was fast and friendly. Had an old fashioned for a drink and it was good. Tasted just as it should just a little light on the alcohol, same with my second drink as well but still solid. Great spot to stop in and grab some grub!

Something really scary happened last night. I went to Kirwan’s on the Wharf and ended up being drugged. I recognized the symptoms because the same thing happened to my acquaintance a week ago when we went there.
After I started feeling unwell, I went to the hospital, but the experience there was awful—the staff was rude, and I couldn’t stay for long. I ended up doing my own drug test after I got home. I’m still shaken up about it.
I just wanted to share this with you in case you’ve been to Kirwan’s recently or are planning to go. Be careful out there—it seems like something really unsafe is happening at that place.

I don’t normally write reviews but figured this deserved a shoutout. I am from out of town and was in DC in October for a wedding and visited Kirwan’s on a Saturday night. The next morning I realized I had lost a bracelet and was able to leave my name and number with the manager. Luckily the bracelet was found but I am from out of state and was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it back. The manager I had left my number with offered to ship it to me and to my surprise I actually got it in the mail a few days ago! Not many places with people willing to go out of their way to help, thank you!

Love Kirwans. If you’re sick of the DC scene and want to feel like you’re strolling through Temple Bar, stop into Kirwan’s for a pint. It’s tidy, comfortable, and the staff know what they’re doing (thanks Sarah!). The upstairs bar was perfect for our group of six to watch a football game on a Saturday night and drink a couple Guinness. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We stopped by after a walk on the wharf and food lacked substance and taste. We ordered the lamb burger which was dry and had no seasoning. The sausage and mash was ok sausages were cold peas not cook but mash and gravy was good. Server was fine and didn’t really ask us if we were ok and I had to keep requesting drinks. Overall it was less than ok.
