We love this local Ethiopian spot. The owner is incredibly friendly and pickup during the pandemic has been super easy. We pretty much order the same thing every time - chicken tibs and misir wat - and this has become a real pick-me-up meal after a long day at work and/or pandemic blues.

My best friend and I decided to try this place out because it was perfect for vegetarians and also meat lovers. It was extremely hot in the restaurant, but it was chilly outside so I guess that makes it okay. It was pretty empty on a Monday night, but we still had a good time. There is Ethiopian music playing in the background, and our service was pretty okay. Impressive that they remember our order without writing it all down. I ordered the Kokeb Doro Wat and I was a little disappointed with the serving. It came with one boiled egg and one chicken leg. The taste was on point though! It was spicy and delicious overall! Although I would love to have a bigger serving, it was the perfect size leaving me full and content. My friend ordered four vegan sides and our orders came out together on one plate. So heads up on that. Will definitely come back. So so so so good!

If I could select No starts , I would. This company is engaging in fraud via the Internet with an online delivery company called, " menustar" that very may well be engaging in credit card theft . Stay Away !!! This restaurant took my order online , confirmed my credit card and charged me $51 to my bank account then called 1 1/2 hours later with my family hungry and waiting for dinner and said that they don't deliver and tried to pressure me to come pick up the food . I was robbed of $51and the owner's only response was a callous : " go ahead and report me to the whole world "

Kokeb is a great place for an inexpensive meal! The menu is a little hit or miss as the items are not very well described. I recommend getting the platters because they give you the chance to try a little bit of everything. They also have an incredible selection of deserts. The family running the restaurant is very kind and really cares about the experience of their customers. Highly recommend if you're in the pleasant plains area!

My roommates and I loved living down the street from Kokeb! Our favorite restaurant in Park View. Highly recommend beef derek tibs. Mr T is the best!
I went there last night, and absolutely loved the food and service! Super kind folks. Tasty chicken and cabbage and lentils, and really good cake. I'll go back soon!

We were looking for Ethiopian Food in particular and found this place. The food was on point! Also, my friends and I were here as part of a weekend-long celebration of 20 years in fraternity & friendship and we got to chatting with the staff and they said they could make us a custom cake to pick up in a day or two. We liked the idea and paid in advance. They called us a couple of days later to pick up the cake. When I saw this cake, I was completely impressed. It was decorated exactly as we asked them to. Also, the size and quality of the cake exceeded our expectations. Great experience with Kokeb!!!
