I was scared to review this place because it might be mobbed and I want to keep my knowledge of it to myself, selfishly. But facts are facts and this is, hands down, the best sushi in DC. No arguments! The serves have been working there for years and are great without constantly coming to check on you. This place is a true hidden gem, and absolutely amazing. I come here every year for my birthday, with my Dad.
I was there on a Friday evening and it was not busy at all. We had the calamari salad (yummy!) the Kamameshi set with eel—the rice in the iron pot was very good! The sushi rolls were also good sadly I don’t remember which we had

The staff was warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. The dining area is cute but small, but we had no trouble getting seats around 6:30 on a Saturday. A solid spot for a casual Japanese meal.
