What a great time! A big shout out to Kraken for hosting our event.

This place used to be great for beginners—flattering targets, light axes, and attentive staff. That’s exactly why I chose to return here after a two-month break due to an injury. Unfortunately, everything has gone downhill.

1. The manager started arguing about my shoes, even though their website clearly states that closed-toe shoes are required. I was wearing ballet flats, which fully cover the toes, but he insisted that my entire foot had to be covered—something that’s nowhere in the actual rules, just his personal interpretation. When I pointed this out, he muttered, “Ugh, they should have been more specific,” but instead of just letting me in, he tried to suggest I borrow my husband’s socks and his (manager’s) (!) boots. Seriously???

2. We were unexpectedly paired with a random customer, which made the experience frustrating. It’s not this person’s fault—they were just a beginner—but we had to constantly wait for them. Since the lanes are shared, you can’t retrieve your axe while the other person is still aiming, unless you want to risk getting an axe to the back of the head.

3. The axes were in awful condition, and yet we weren’t allowed to use our own. The grip wrapping was in terrible shape, making it uncomfortable and even unsafe to hold.

4. The targets were in terrible shape (see photo). They were literally falling apart into splinters, making it impossible for an axe to stick, no matter how accurately you throw. Instead, the axes just dropped to the ground. When I pointed this out to an employee, he pretended not to understand, even though he had the exact same issue while demonstrating the technique. Even when the random customer also complained, he ignored it.

5. We were left with two options: either share a single functional target between three people, or leave. We chose the latter.

I used to recommend this place, but after this experience—never again. Complete disappointment.

I went to the Penn Quarter location with 3 other people and we did axe throwing and rage room. Staff was really cool EXCEPT the manager Damario (not sure if the spelling is correct). He was very belittling to staff in front of patrons which made it hard to enjoy ourselves. He was also very rude to us, yelling at us to do one thing when his staff told us to do something else. Also, for the rage room, we were not told that we would need to purchase more items to break (ie plates, glasses). One staff was nice enough to provide more while also explaining in a professional manner their policy. Overall anlright experience but would not go back due to the unprofessionalism of Damario.

Went for a birthday party so had a group of about 15 people. We did the rage rooms and axe throwing.

Axe throwing was fine but still a little sketchy, especially with drunk people and no cage between the seating.

We had to split the group up to do the rage rooms, which is understandable but would be nice if they had some larger rooms. Rage room consisted of 15 ceramic plates for us to smash and some leftover shards inside the room. The gear didn’t make any of us feel safe—should’ve had ear protection that fit, and safety goggles under the shields.

I understand people are allowed to write whatever on the walls in the rage rooms but care should be given to cover up previous group’s sentiments especially if antisemitic.

I just don’t think the experience was worth the price.

This was SO MUCH FUN! It was easy to find with lots of parking at the location and such a great place for group gatherings. The skate and Pickleball courts were great and the venue was so easy to work with. You can also bring your own food in for birthday parties and other celebration gatherings! HIGHLY recommended and I will be back!

Great staff. This is my 2nd time taking a class of high school students as a field trip. They loved it.

Fun outing with entertaining staff.

Staff is great. Concept is fun, but for the price I expected more raging and smashing opportunities. You receive a certain # of tokens that you trade in for items to smash. The tokens don’t go far.

Awful. The only items they had available to break were plates. And not even enough to take up our time there. No glasses. No machines. No tvs. Nothing. They had tires they said we could hit. Tires! And one piece of scrap metal. Very lame and very disappointing. Would not recommend.

The axe throwing? Top-notch for impressing a date or proving to friends that you're a top pick for their camp if society collapses. The coaches are encouraging and help fine-tune your aim.

The rage room, however... you're given a whopping 15-20 plates and 30 minutes to smash them. That’s a whole lot of time to get acquainted with the few pieces of fine china before saying goodbye.

Final verdict: axes? Yes. Rage room? Bring your own rage fuel.

We had a lot of fun in the rage room. If you have a lot of pent-up stress you want to blow off, I highly recommend this place. For the rage room cost this is the cheapest in the area. Also the staff is very friendly and one major perk is you can play your own music.

Reserved a private experience for a birthday party, and had a wonderful time with our event handler and management.

But...I came back again a couple of weeks later with another small group, and was treated horribly by the guy at the front desk, and then forced to charge at the bar ... where I and each of my group members were charged 20% for each of our tickets "because it's part of all menu items." (when I added a $3 water to my order). Sorry, since when is a ticket a part of the menu? Don't steal from your clients.

That is incredibly scammy, and I will be pursuing chargebacks on my credit card for this purchase, especially because of how horrible my experience was the 2nd time around.

Also, this place does not have food. They do let you bring in or cater your own food though.
