Real home made chocolate, never tasted so authentically tested.

The dark chocolate is rich, decadent, thick, indulgent. I paired it with their butter croissant - it’s buttery, not the classic French-kind, it’s thick- but this texture goes really well with the dark chocolate. I just kept shaking my head after each sip and bite in disbelief- amazing. Will be back for sure. And the Christmas lights on the ceiling make this place that much more magical. Thank you to the amazing baristas- they’re super nice and make this place even more magical ✨👏🏻

Always a fan of the LA Burdick while we were in Boston! This Georgetown location also matched up with the good old Boston shop. The chocolates and baked goodies are good, but the best stuff is the hot chocolate! They have the regular hot chocolate as well as the awesome white chocolate! They also have a great SPICY dark chocolate!!
Kid-friendliness: Some of the goodies are kid friendly

The most amazing hot chocolate ever! I won’t order hot chocolate anywhere else because it just disappoints after you have tried this. I have been many times to their shops in Boston, New York, and Chicago. So glad that they are here in DC now too.

I ordered a $48 hazelnut orange cake. I was asked to pay before receiving the cake. As I was waiting for the delivery, I changed my mind and selected instead 8 smaller cakes (worth $60). I was told I would need to wait for the manager to off-set from that price the value of the cake (that I had not received yet). So I paid the $60 for the 8 smaller cakes and waited for the manager (“Tanita”) who was temporarily absent from the store. When she came, she told me she would not make the refund for the hazelnut orange cake I had never received because she needed her boss’ approval (“John”). She asked me to call the store later to talk to “John”. I left (having paid for the hazelnut orange cake, never received it, and never gotten the $48 refund)
I am now spending my Sunday trying to get on the phone with “John”. I have called twice. First, they told me to call later because John was not there. Then, nobody is picking up the phone so I left a message with my name and phone, hoping they call me back. We will see…
Best hot chocolate you will ever have hands down. A must when in Georgetown.
BEWARE, YOU WILL GET SCAMMED.
We had a horrible incident today. My father was skammed by the manager of the store: first, he paid for a chocolate cake. Before they served the cake he asked if he could change his mind and order a different cake. The waiter said that of course, he could do that, but he should pay for the other cake before and that the manager (Tanita) would manage the refund of the 1st order afterwards.
When the manager came, she said that she was not going to do the refund and gave my father a phone number to call to manage the refund.
We have called several times with no answer.
If you want to be scammed, don’t think it twice, LA Burdick is your place.

I have been to the Massachusetts location for many many years. I recently moved to DC and was shocked by how this location is run. They give you everything in takeaway cups, provide plastic utensils. I am not surprised this place is not as popular in DC and none of my friends know about it. Its such a nice experience in MA. Please improve the service/atmosphere provide non plastic cups and utensils and make it a proper experience to be cherished!

I ordered a hot chai latte and I am extremely disappointed because it was a cup full of milk with some chai tea bag. I feel I paid only for milk. Literally flavorless. Deserts are tasty and also a good seating spot.
Excellent space to share and have a coffee. Relaxed atmosphere and very good service.
I tried the spicy chocolate, good flavor and excellent price. I would come again
