Delicious Rome-style pizza that is walking distance from Eastern Market metrorail station. We tried La Porchetta pizza (pork) and the cacio e pepe pizza (cheesy, which I preferred). Come hungry because it’s filling!

Service was attentive and payment was efficient with Toast machinery. Seating is a little cramped, yet it’s a warm and charming place.

I wish they took reservations through an app, such as OpenTable or Resy, so I can make modifications to my reservation without calling again.

A nice surprise in Washington 🤩!!!
Having children who only eat Italian cuisine, we were won over by this Pinseria Romana (😲 truly ITALIAN 🇮🇹!), a variety of very tasty pinsas, one better than the other 😋 with quality Italian ingredients and products!
The owners and staff were friendly, helpful and super kind 🥰
If you are looking for a welcoming place to eat well in DC, don't hesitate! 😉

Unique and truly Italian/Roman pinsa
(not pizza!), unlike so many other "Italian" restaurants in DC. The pinsa is top notch and there's a lot of thought into the various combinations on the menu, want to try them all! They use 100% Italian products and it makes a big difference. I read reviews from other patrons disappointed because the restaurant wouldn't serve "extra sauce" on the side or substitute ingredients -- that's exactly how it should be! The owners/chefs know what they're doing so you should trust them. If you like sauce on the side, well there's always Domino's for that...! I wish them much success and will keep patronizing! Grazie, Angela e Fabrizio, speriamo di tornare a trovarvi presto!!

I was born and grew up in Rome. The food is delicious and authentic. The dough for the pizza is what makes it simple, but incredible. The toppings are not only very fresh and tasty, but they are also plentiful. I also talked to the owners and they were very friendly and genuinely loved that we enjoyed the food. There was a sense of pride. It is a small place that focuses on simple food that is just very tasty.

Amazing dinner and service for my wife’s birthday. The owner/chef reached out to personalize the menu for our group. Food came out delicious and the party of 16 agreed. Would recommend and go back without a doubt.

The food at the pinseria is very good, with very fresh ingredients and only Italian products. The menu offers various types of pinsa: meat, vegetables, etc. The restaurant has very nice decorations and the waitresses are friendly. It is even possible to speak Italian with the owners!

My lunch was a nice experience. I ate the Roman supplì, the porchetta and the tiramisu: all were delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavours. Angela was very kind: she told us the history of the restaurant and explained what a pinseria is, making us appreciate the local culinary tradition even more. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, with a rustic touch that makes La Casina perfect for those looking for a genuine experience. The service was attentive and friendly, making everything even more enjoyable. I can't wait to go back!

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this pizzeria! The food was exceptional – you could truly taste and even smell the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. What makes it even better is that all the ingredients are imported directly from Italy, ensuring an authentic and flavorful experience. The pizzeria is family-owned, and you can feel the love and dedication that comes from continuing a proud family tradition. The owners’ passion for their craft shines through in every detail, from the recipes to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Speaking Italian with them added a genuine touch of authenticity, making it feel like a little slice of Italy right here. The service was impeccable – attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for amazing food made with the finest imported ingredients, great service, and a place that feels like family, this pizzeria is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to return!
