We've been loyal customers for more than 25 years, and for the first time, we left feeling a bit disappointed. The food was okay, but not as great as it used to be. La Chaumier is a lovely and charming restaurant. However, I will say that the small little room is a bit too tight of a fit for larger groups. I myself was only in a party of 2 but right beside us, was a family of 6 plus a small child. It's too snug of a room for this sort of group size.
La chaumiere is like a restaraunt in Paris the waiters are great. The food is always consistently great. The baked oysters are divine. The trout amadine very fresh the apple tart exquisite. A lovely restaraunt and a romantic spot.
