La Famosa NEVER DISAPPOINTS! The food is always incredible, the salsa music in the background is a vibe, and the service is excellent!

As a Boricua myself it can be hard to find a place that delivers such an authentic and delicious experience. Their food is so good you can just indulge on the sides/apps alone and be satisfied.

If you are in the Navy Yard you have to check them out. You will not be disappointed. 10/10 recommendation.

What an amazing place! It's hard to find good Puerto Rican food at home so I always make a trip to La Famosa when I am in DC. The tostones are simple yet delicious. And the pernil is just amazing. Highly recommend! And $1 Medalia beers during happy hour? Yes please!

Really good authentic puertorrican food. It took me back home!! Ordering was so easy using the barcode at the tables. The mofongo con camarones was my favorite. Real piña colada and delicious flavors. Definitely will return to try other things in the menu! If I would critic anything is to add a little more salt to the carne frita but other than that, can't complaint. Prices are decent too for the type of food and the time it takes to do our food.

I’m obsessed with this place. I go every chance I get. Ensalada de Pulpo is always a must. Also you can’t beat the happy hour deal with cheap Medalla just like it would be in PR - BLESS BORIQUAAAAA

I wish there was merch available for purchase and coffee beans.

This is a really cute, sit down, quick kinda place to eat. The food is not too bad. Pina colada was great. The tostones are far too small and not crispy. The pastelillos were amazing. They do charge for hot sauce which is odd. The sandwiches are pretty basic. So if you are looking for that, then it’s easy to find here.

This food is amazing. I couldn’t believe how great my fish sandwich was - probably the best I’ve ever had. Huge thanks to the staff for being so welcoming to my exhausted kids. Thanks for the wonderful late lunch.

This is the place to go for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Oh my God. The food was so good in every way. The food comes out right away from stove to table, hot and freshly made. The plantains are cooked through perfectly, not like in some other restaurants where they only cook them one time and they taste like dried cardboard, no, these plantains are flavorful too! Their cheese balls are heavenly, the meat cracklings are one of the best things to get here, along with the fried mahi sandwich. This place is actually better than some of the restaurants I went to in Puerto Rico! Go or don’t go, more food for me because I’m definitely going back!

This is our favorite local Puerto Rican spot. Food is always fresh and mucho sabor! Staff are very friendly and treat you very nice. Drinks are ALWAYS on point. There is plenty of table seating, and a nice bar, there’s a lovely outdoor space.

bland and not authentic. overpriced. Honestly this was some of the worst food i’ve had in dc and im surprised they are still open. there was no seasoning. we got the pork belly mofongo, and risotto. it was like rice mixed with mayonnaise and dry chicken chunks. Looks like it was gonna taste good but there just wasn’t any seasoning. I think if you’re gonna come here it might be good for the appetizers which were tasty but overall it’s very overpriced and I probably won’t come here again.
