By far the best mofongo I have ever had. Every bite was better than the last! Atmosphere was super cute. We sat on sings to eat! Thought that was unique! Over all a great visit!

I don't love the whole QR code order online and never talk to anyone but it is what it is. Food is really good and that's the most important thing.

My ex fiancee is half Puerto Rican. I have plenty of Puerto Rican friends and I grew up eating authentic Puerto Rican food my entire life. As a first time customer the food was horrible. The mofongo was dry and hard like a rock. The rice was overcooked and it seems like it was some Minute Maid rice. The Coquito was served no cold, but room temperature almost. It was served in a martini glass, so def not a lot to drink. I’m very disappointed and it was a waste of money. My food was not served hot at all. Got it to go, but didn’t even eat the rest. It’s in the trash where it belongs.

Cute place. Great drinks. I just wish the food had more seasoning or salt to flavor it. It’s like they made the salt levels for Caucasian people liking. The food is decent but need a flavor enhancement. I had the plantains, chicharron and rice w/ pink beans.

Came here today with my husband, this is not authentic Puerto Rican food. It might be trying to be but everything we order was awful.

Here’s what we ordered:
The cheese balls (like cheese croquetas)
I could taste the old oil. And what kind of cheese was that?!? Did not taste like cheese.

My husband had the pork marinated in Malta India. It lack flavor , the arroz con gandules was bland.

The tostones are frozen! Perhaps they might have been fresh when they were cut and had the first fried but they were brown not yellow. You can tell they were frozen.
Same with the amarillos, not sweet closer to green plantain than plátanos maduros

I ordered the beefsteak encebollado, it came with white rice and beans, the beefsteak was meh in flavor, the onions not fully cooke, standard white rice and the beans had no ham no flavor no salt.

I’m from the island and this was not cooked by Puerto Rican people perhaps the idea was there initially but this was awful. Worst part the my husband’s and my food did not came out at the same time and nobody comes to check on you.

The only good thing I had was the virgin mojito. An absolute disaster . Will not come back here and do not recommend.

Nice little, just off-the-path restaurant. Only downside for my visit was the vegetarian Pastelillos I ordered came out as beef and cheese. The staff was immediately responsive and corrected the issue.

Very nice spot - food was awesome - pernil, pastelon, and tostomes are too notch! Service was average as they were polite, but only came to the table to bring the food, and never interacted with customers.

Suburb! Super tasty food. Loved the omelette, spicy beef pastelillios, and beef canoa. In fact, the omelette is the best I’ve ever had!

I was placing an order with the bartender and she stopped me in the middle of my sentence and rudely said I don't speak Spanish, when I was speaking English. It was incredibly rude and disrespectful, I can't believe they have someone that racist working there as a Puerto Rican restaurant.

I stopped by La Famosa for a to-go order and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, my order came out quickly and everything was packed nicely and tasted delicious.

The atmosphere inside felt warm and colorful, so I’ll definitely be coming back to dine in next time.

First let me note that I was a resident of Puerto rico for a handful of years, love the culture, people and coffee. This place used to be lovely but like many places in DC they strip away the heart and soul of a restaurant and dumb it down somehow. I stepped in for a proper Puerto Rican cortado and they said no, drip coffee only. Oh and guess what, it's not Puerto Rican coffee. Beautiful place and vibe but let's not call it Puerto Rican without the essentials.
