Always an amazing place to visit, best salsa in DC and phenomenal service. Carlos and José, Christian are always the best servers and make you feel super welcome! The food is also 10/10, so much flavor that just blends perfectly. Vast menu and options for everyone, also very family friendly. I highly recommended the Chicken and Steak Fajitas, but everyone I’ve ever taken there has loved their food.

I ordered from La Plaza Mexican & Salvadorian Cuisine through DoorDash, but my order was incorrect. I went back the next day with my receipt and the food, expecting a simple fix. Instead, I was met with attitude and told I should have come back the same day—even though I explained I live far and couldn’t return immediately. The staff begrudgingly agreed to remake my order, but took so long that I started questioning whether I even wanted to eat food that was being made with such an attitude. Ultimately, I decided to request a refund through DoorDash instead. Mistakes happen, but treating customers poorly when they try to resolve an issue is unacceptable. I won’t be returning.
It doesn't have a variety of Salvadorian food.

A great place to grab some margaritas and chips & salsa. It's a tad expensive (but so is everything else on the hill) and sometimes the food is a bit off, but is usually very tasty.

I showed up this afternoon around 3:00. We were a group of 7 ranging in age from 23 to 92 with disposable income to purchase pitchers of margaritas and several bottles of beer. We are staying in an Airbnb just around the corner from this establishment while in town to visit my daughter. My husband has looked forward for weeks to eating at this place. There was no seating inside so we went outside. We weren’t under the shade at first. Someone brought menus and some chips. We saw you walk by several times without offering to even take a drink order. When we moved under the shade when a large group left, you moved the other tables from the previous group and cleaned those tables. Still no water, drinks or inkling that you wanted to take care of us. So after 25 minutes, we left and went next door to the taco place where we spent a great deal of money on alcohol and food. To paraphrase Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman - you work on tips correct? Big mistake. I have to go order alcohol and food now. I still can’t believe how rude you were to my 92 year old father and 83 year old mother.

Horrible. Food was packaged VERY poorly. Refried beans and rice covering the tacos making them cold and soggy.

We came excitedly to try some Salvadoran cuisine and arrived close to the end of lunch service, so the atmosphere was very quiet. The establishment is rather dark inside. Service was quick, and they offered a kid's high chair.
For lunch, we had the crispy beef tacos and el cuscatleco. First of all, we loved the tacos. It is flavourful and very well-balanced. However, it was a mixed bag with the el cuscatleco - the pupusa was okay, and we didn't enjoy their tamale. On a positive note, we enjoyed the fried yuca and plantains.
The ramp entrance is wheelchair and pram-friendly. There's also outdoor seating available.

This is one of my favorite spots in all of Capitol Hill.
Parking: It is right next to the Eastern Market metro so of you can metro or walk, that is the best option.
