I've been patronizing La Vie for years, and last night was the best experience yet! I really enjoyed you all's hospitality and service.

Fabulous evening. Service was outstanding and the view and atmosphere was superb. Food is slightly electric and just super.

My complaint is based on a few things. One we ordered a drink called velvet ember. Drink was good. The problem is the glassware. The type of glassware with a large round iceball created a hard to drink experience. At one sip the ice caused a pocket when I took a sip it cause the ice to forcefully push to the top of the glass causing me to get RED drink on my sweater' white shirt and my hair. I do have proof of the stains. I had to sit my whole dinner with my clothes stained. Secondly, we ordered an appetizer called seafood mistro. The description was lightly breaded. This dish was anything but lightly breaded. It was very heavily breaded. I can't complain about service. The service was on point.

We had an amazing experience at La Vie. Our waiter went well beyond above normal service and made the experience even more special. Would recommend and a 10/10. Perfect evening.

Very bad food but very expensive! There's only one appetizer one entree and one Sid that costs averages 100 per person with tax and tips

Absolutely unbelievable experience for my wife and at La Vie. We were in DC for just 24 hours and had someone recommend this place to us. Incredible location, great vibes and atmosphere, staff was awesome, and the food was unbelievable. Would and will recommend anyone who is going to DC to make time for La Vie!

Did not like an automatic tip added to the check.

Miguel was absolutely amazing! The tea service was so fantastic and we will be coming back because of his incredible personality and hospitality. His dedication to making us feel at home at this establishment was truly outstanding! 10/10 experience because of Miguel!

Tonight was my first time at La Vie and it did not disappoint! Our waiter, Raul was phenomenal and very attentive. There was a wine maker on site and we were able to experience a wine tasting…AMAZING! Another server, Beny brought our food and assisted us, he was wonderful as well. Let’s talk about the food…OUTSTANDING!!! I had the Seafood Tagliatelle, which was flavorful and full of seafood. Loved it!

Super attentive service, gorgeous view over the Potomac River and Wharf area, delicious pricey beautifully presented food. Only suggestion is to expand the after-dinner drink selection (e.g., ports)

La Vie has beautiful views, an incredible atmosphere, top-tier service, and delicious food 10/10. But unless spending $300–$500 for a casual night out is part of your lifestyle, it’s more of a one-and-done spot. Our bill was $315 for one appetizer, two entrĆ©es, and two drinks each. I do appreciate the prices was on the menu lol - Plus $49 just for public parking at The Wharf is crazy work, I rather pay for valet at that point. We stopped by Whiskey Charlie afterward for dessert and r&b music which added another vibe. A casual night out at The Wharf can easily hit over $500. I’ve been to other top restaurants that offer the same vibe, great quality, and bigger portions for less around $150–$220 with street parking. I really enjoyed La Vie, but between the cost and parking, I’d only go back for special occasions.

One of go-to spots for Sunday brunch (10+ visits 😩)! Our group usually ranges from 8–12 people, and they always accommodate us (we book a few weeks in advance).

Brunch is served in 3–4 courses, with the sweet course consisting of pancakes, waffles, and more—coming last. They offer bottomless mimosas and a well-crafted cocktail menu, plus they’ve recently added a carving station and a self-serve selection of small bites.

Plan to spend about 1½ to 2 hours enjoying great food, drinks, and conversation. The multiple portions can be a little overwhelming, but it’s perfect for larger parties. You can also request a repeat of any dish.

Can’t wait to check out their igloos this winter!
