After a day of shopping and strolling, my friend and I stumbled upon a charming little Ladurée and couldn't resist stopping in for a quick break.

Ladurée never disappoints -- know for their macarons. I ordered the Ispahan, a beautifully crafted, oversized macaron filled with sweet rose cream and fresh raspberries. Though I'm not usually a fan of rose flavors, this one was incredibly light and balanced -- truly delightful.

Ladurée has won me over for sure. Their truly flavor macarons is a cut above the rest. For the longest time, I've steered cleared of single bite food that costs more than a satisfying simple hamburger and I had felt vindicated when I tried various other non-Ladurée or craft macarons to date. Everyone else's macaron is simply just soft sugar pastries with delicate crispy shell donning unnatural food coloring.
