Before leaving Union Market, I had to stop by the Laduree cart by the main entrance. They didn't have all the flavors listed on their handwritten menu. They had 8 flavors - Chocolate, Coffee, Raspberry, Strawberry, Pistachio, Lemon, Coconut and Caramel. Since French Macarons are delicate, I decided to get a box of them. They had three sizes - 6 macarons, 12 macarons, and 24 macarons. I ended up getting a box of 6 macarons - Coffee, Raspberry, Strawberry, Pistachio, Lemon, and Coconut. They tasted similar to the ones I had in Paris in 2001. I liked how they weren't super sweet.

My friend loves macarons, so I always buy her a box when I see them! Laduree has the best macarons with a wide range of classic (vanilla, etc) and original flavors. The blue Marie Antoinette (tea flavored) macarons were delicious! Minimum gift box size of 6.
