Great food. Kind and attentive staff. Funghi pizza was a table favorite.
I like their Arancini.
The service was immaculate. Thanks to the whole team! And yes, the 40 layers lasagna is as good as everyone says!
Absolutely phenomenal dining experience—easily one of the best we visited in D.C. Every dish was amazing, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Can’t wait to come back!
I’ve dined here twice. The first time was in October of 2023 and then recently in July of 2025. I would venture to say it wasn’t as memorable but since 2023 I’ve eaten at my fair share of Italian restaurants. Still highly recommend.
Last visit we ordered:
1. Margherita Pizza (10/10) - the crust was crisp to perfection and all the ingredients were fresh.
2. Caesar Salad (8/10) - I love the preserved lemon taste I will say that maybe that time in particular it sat too long before coming to the table because it was saturated in the dressing making the taste overpowering.
3. Bucatini Cacio e Pepe (7.5/10) - The flavor profile was there, the pasta itself was a bit on the dryer side.
4. Cheesecake di Ricotta (9/10) - this dessert was really tasty. The almond brittle they put on it should be sold separately because it is simply divine! My only note would be that the cake was dry when eaten without all the other accents.
Came for the lasagna, L’Ardente didn’t disappoint!
Delicious food, very nice and busy atmosphere.
This place was such a great find! The drinks were excellent, and we loved the hamachi crudo and burrata to start, super fresh and flavorful. We tried the seafood linguine, and strozzapreti bolognese (which uses the same pomodoro sauce as their famous 40-layer lasagna), and everything was delicious with just the right portion size. Our friends had the maccheroni and gnocchi and were just as impressed. The desserts were the real stars: tiramisu flambé and gianduja s’mores were next-level good. Ambience was chic, service was great, and parking was easy with options right outside or in the building adjacent. Definitely going back to try that lasagna and duck ravioli soon!
Food was good relative to the price. Cocktails are mediocre. Dessert tiramisu flambe was nice to watch but does not taste like a well made tiramisu infused with coffee (it would be better to call it something else so it meets the expectation)

L'Ardente is phenomenal. The food was perfect. The atmosphere was lovely.
We were with another couple, and we ordered the Cacio E Pepe, 49-layer Lasagna, Cesaer Salad, Roasted Carrots, Papardelle, and a small Margherita pizza. We all shared plates, and it was divine. It was an absolutely fantastic meal from start to almost finish.
Our server got snippy when we stayed a bit too long & ordered desert. (Olive Oil cake, actually the only part of the meal that could have been skipped as it was stale).
Otherwise, everything was exactly what you would hope for & we'll definitely be back.
Highly recommend!

My love + I celebrated New Year’s Eve at L’Ardente in DC, and it was an unforgettable night. The ambiance was perfect, and our waiter was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the phenomenal 40-layer lasagna, grilled prawns, and meatballs—all absolutely delicious. The highlight was the unexpected Prosecco toast at midnight, making the celebration feel even more special.
From the exceptional food to the warm service and festive atmosphere, L’Ardente delivered an evening to remember. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique and elegant dining experience!

This was the best restaurant experience I’ve had thus far! The waitress, Katrina was amazing. She knew the menu well so we ordered based on her recommendations. The food was definitely 5 stars! The entire staff was pleasant, and professional. The atmosphere was cozy, conversations weren’t loud and it was a pleasurable evening out!
