Stopped by for a coffee break with a colleague. Good espresso and pastries … congressional offices are near by. It was quiet when we were there - but looks like this place can get busy. Highly recommend.

I ordered group lunchboxes from Le Bon Cafe and they were amazing. Sandwiches were great, nice sweet treat, amazing fruit mix, and potato salad. Really impressed with the elevated lunch box.

This is near the Library of Congress, which made it a wonderful stop on our way from LoC to Air & Space Museum.
Celebrations - Staff were friendly. Food was great. We had a strawberry banana smoothie and a piece of coffee cake. Both were delicious.
Downside - The size of the cafe is far too small for the popularity. We were there around lunch time on a Friday, which probably added to the crowd, but it was uncomfortably squished inside. Fortunately, the weather was nice, so most of our party stood outside while two people went inside.
If we are in the area, we would stop here again for a smoothie while walking to our next destination, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Decent enough for what it is - a place to grab a quick breakfast that isn’t fast food.
My food was cold and the tables and restroom dirty. My kids enjoyed their food though. And portions are decent for the price.

Went there for coffee. Didn't get any food, but it looked really good. The coffee was fantastic. We sat outside and enjoyed it. Awesome place!

Stopped by for a mid-morning coffee and snack. Great diverse menu, especially if you're looking for gluten free options. Americano was top notch, turkey and brie panini took nearly 20 minutes. Very limited seating.

Amazing little cafe near the Library of Congress. The potato salad that came with our sandwiches was so tasty! Would definitely visit again!

Good Food Great Location ☺💭👍!
I had a delicious chai latte and walnut coffee cake. The service was friendly and quick, the tiny shop is cute and cozy, the patio is shady and clean with a resident cat. A lovely place to spend some time!

We paid $20 for 2 horrendous ice coffees and 2 tiny pastries. Ice coffe...a lot of bitter coffee flavoured water with melted wet ice flakes. No question from the server if we want sugar or milk. You can't give that muddy water as an ice coffe guys. That was maybe the most disappointing thing ever that someone served to me. The pastries were so small and very far from fresh...rubbery and tasteless. I hate to give bad ratings, but the food coulture in the USA is absolutelly unacceptable. If you have a french name please visit France and try the coffe and the pastry there. And after call your place a french name if you willing to do something similar... (No, I am not french, but I see why the Europeans fed up with this practice) It is coffee and pastry, not rocket science. And of course this place didn't have a toilet either... It should be only take away than.

The cafe's location, next to Capitol and the Library of Congress, makes it unique. Prices and quality of food are good. My wife and I stepped in the cafe when it was full of people and there was a long line in front of us. I can say that professionalism, timing, and positive attitude that the personnel is able to support in such atmosphere have to be mentioned and recognized. I'd say that it's exactly the staff working there that make that place keep up with so many customers. And I really liked my cappuccino, it actually was the best one that I had in DC during two weeks of my visit there. A young guy made it fast but good. If you find yourself in Le Bon, try it.
