Le Clou will forever hold a soft spot in my heart. It was the location of my boyfriend and I’s very first date, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The ambience was effortlessly romantic with its marble tables, warm lighting, plush leather booths, and endless champagne. A true dream.
Our waitress went above and beyond to make the night magical (even though she didn’t have to), and the food? Absolutely incredible. I still think about the foie gras with baguette. My personal favorite. It was rich, flavorful, and so satisfying.
Though I see Le Clou has now closed, I’m already planning to check out Chef Stefanelli’s Masseria next. If it’s anything like Le Clou, I know it’ll be special.

Can't get anyone to answer the phone or their emails. Been trying for 3+ weeks. Horrible customer service.

The gougeres and the oysters aren't as expected. If you're looking for LeDiplomate's gougeres this isn't the place. The service and atmosphere was nice though. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 7 PM on a Saturday. Not sure if that's because of the restaurant...
We had fabulous service, tasty cocktails, excellent food -- all in a beautifully appointed and very comfortable dining room! Our second time here and it did not disappoint. It's so unusual to have a waiter with a sense of timing at a DC restaurant; Juan was exceptional. And we appreciate that each person who came to our table - whether to pour water or deliver bread -- came with a smile. We will return!
This beautiful restaurant located inside the Morrow hotel made it extremely convenient for us to have great daily breakfasts before we made our way to the museums. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, as were the pancakes, the bacon was crisp, and the toast and jam was very tasty! The coffee was very good too! The servers were amazing and very accommodating! I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty and delightful breakfast!
I went for a relaxed business lunch with a colleague. This was my first time at LeClou. i was very happy to see that they offer a lunch special. I got the soup and ham sandwich. Everything was very good. The restaurant had a lovely feel, but it was very empty at lunch. For me, this was a trial to see if I wanted to return to spend the money for dinner. I will now return to try dinner.
Restaurant is in hotel. Very nice setting. Staff is great and attentive.

Beautiful restaurant on the lobby floor of the Morrow hotel. No reservation required. We walked right in and were seated right away. Had drinks and desert. They are expensive but the atmosphere is excellent and the service is amazing. They have a large selection of fine wines. Food is fancy but delicious. Chefs are in the kitchen preparing everything fresh. Carlos was our waiter. He was amazing.

Beautiful dining space and bar. The bartenders know their business and the cocktail and wine menus are full of wonderful options. Service was good but at times a bit confused. Food was good (canard) to outstanding (chicken). Wines are to die for!

Went to Le Clou for 4th of July. They had an American buffet great selection of food including Ribs, brisket, fried chicken and mac and cheese among other things. They also had a great offering of wines. The restaurant is very modern and beautiful and staff attentive.
