One of those places where I'm perfectly comfortable with asking the bartenders to go "off script." Just give them an idea of what you want--specify an ingredient or two, a base liquor--and let them run with it.

I’ve been in here a few times over the last few years. I’ve always had great cocktails here. But I went on Friday and this time put a bad taste in my mouth. We went in a little after 530 for happy hour. There was my group of 4 and another 2 people so it wasn’t busy. We got a small list of drinks. Ive seen a bigger one before so asked someone in my group to go ask if there’s another menu. The bartender told us to “use our words.” That was pretty offsetting so we left. I don’t appreciate rudeness.

the host would not seat 3 people despite there being 5 people party and a 2 party standing at the bar. told us 3 people couldn’t be stood or seated with 2 two tops getting up. been to most speakeasy’s and this one affirmatively sucks. go to OKPB best speakeasy in the district and DMV.

This place was very cute, but very very hard to find lol. It is quite small inside, so we had to wait a bit since they were at capacity when we arrived. The decor was fun and it was a funky little spot to enjoy a beverage and a Friday night crowd! It was a bit loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but that's part of being a bar. It was fun to choose the "Trust Me" drink and have the bartender craft a special drink just for me based on what I said I enjoyed in other drinks!
