We had an amazing experience at Lumani. The igloo's were so nice & the heater helped in a chilly night. Perfect for a date night or small group💗
We went for a girls' lunch specifically to experience the Christmas-themed section, but the visit was disappointing from the start. The host was noticeably rude, and when we were taken upstairs to the Christmas area, we were simply left there with no explanation. It was our first time visiting, so we had no idea how anything worked. Our server eventually came by to ask for our drink order, but until then we weren't even sure if we were supposed to order at the bar ourselves. Unfortunately, the food was subpar and ended up making all three of us feel sick afterward. For the extremely high prices, we expected better service, clearer guidance, and food that was at least enjoyable. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and I wouldn't give this place a second chance.
Overall, we had a lovely evening in Limani's rooftop igloo. The space itself was beautifully decorated with pillows, blankets, and quiet heaters, creating a cozy and memorable atmosphere. Our server was fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and most of the food was delicious. The only area that could use improvement is the front desk experience. When we arrived—smiling and greeting the staff—we were immediately told about the two-hour time limit by someone who neither smiled nor delivered the information warmly. The time limit itself was perfectly reasonable, but the tone set an unnecessarily cold first impression. As for the meal, the only misses were the eggplant appetizer that were dry and the cheese over cooked, and the calamari and my lamb chops, which were both a bit too salty. Next time, I'll simply ask the server to have the kitchen go light on the salt.
I would have rated higher, but I had a long hair in my food and my friend had a hair in her drink. I understand those types of things happen, but I don't like when management apologizes and then wraps it up with an excuse or almost like it's not their fault. As if the food is subject to hair because it's a buffet, which I am aware happens, but we got there when they opened and the hair was tangled in the salad. This was done in the kitchen. That makes the experience worse. Just apologize, fix the food, and ask if there is anything you can do to improve the experience or just comp the drink and meal. Other than that, the food was good and the drinks were prepared as requested.
Limani was charming and lovely. Great service from the moment we (9 people) entered until we departed. The waiter (Ahmet) was attentive and a consummate professional. The drinks were very good. The appetizers (spanakopita, halloumi, dip selection, bread, EVOO and pita) were delicious. Several of our guests ordered a fish dish (Dargona sp?). The fish was delicious but everyone had bones to expel. The Big Eye Tuna, Chicken, Lobster & pasta dishes were all very tasty!
Limani Seafood Brunch is one of the best in DC. There variety is plenty so even if you dont eat seafood, you are sure you to have plenty. Bottomless mimosas were off scale. Overall this is a Brunch Spot Fav
They have the most amazing brunch! With a best view of the Potomac River. There was so much to choose from. The staff was top tier
This restaurant is excellent, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction.
This was not my first time here, and just like always the food and service was outstanding

The food at the brunch was ok for the price, at least the carving station and the seafood. The other food was pretty mediocre but their was lots of it. It was crowded, the lines were long and the other diners were rowdy and dressed like they were at a strip club working not at a restaurant for brunch. Parents should not have to cover children eyes because people are wearing skirts so short you know they are NOT wearing underwear or that people are wearing a leotard and boots. They need to have some sort for dress dress code. It was shocking.
Excellent service, excellent accommodation of dietary restrictions and allergies. I attended the fabulous Sunday brunch and a member of my party has severe allergies to dairy, beef and gluten! The Chef and staff and Limani not only made sure the grilled food was safe from cross contaminations but also wiped up a great dessert in the middle of a very busy set Sunday brunch menu service. The food was delicious, intentionally prepared (not a throw together) and as appealing as the seafood and brunch offerings enjoyed by the rest of my party. Thank you.
Everything was excellent!! The vibe the drinks the server ( Mike) , the food. It was excellent. I'd. highly recommend. Going into DC and paying that extra service fee is a little off putting. Other than that it was excellent and you should go to celebrate whatever occasion you need 👍🏾
For the price they are charging The decor and service is nice but the food is not good at all. Price of the food is way higher and the quality is not there. Stake tasted like a Giant stake. One and done experience for us!
The Gingerbread House was an excellent outing to catch up with friends. The view was amazing. The food was delicious, We ordered lamp chops, branzino, grilled octopus and shrimp. The drinks were great. Mona provided outstanding service.
