Truly love this place. Recommend sitting at the bar and doing the wine pairing with dinner. Kyle (the bartender) is your go to person - he did a phenomenal job with the menu/ pairings. Love the food, wine, and experience!

This is a gem of a spot in Cleveland Park! I discovered it one day and now I’m a regular and have started bringing my friends. Who all have said they wanna come back. The restaurant is small, but intimate and the food is amazing. The Scallops are a must try. Every time I’ve gone and sat at the bar and have always had an amazing experience. Kyle & Victor are so knowledgeable on their wines and just make the experience 10x better. The playful pairings on the menu are also another highlight and a lot of fun. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Atmosphere, service, food, suggested wine pairings all unbelievably outstanding! My husband and I went to Little blackbird for my birthday dinner tonight. We know nothing about wine. Our server, Meghan, was outstanding. Kinda and patient, she made wonderful suggestions that we followed to a tee. The outcome? An amazing birthday evening filled with delicious food and a massive amount of information about wine and a birthday candle to elevate things to an even higher level. I am sure that true wine aficionados flock to Little Blackbird for their outstanding selection of wines but if you are like me, a wine newbie, I highly recommend Little Blackbird. We went with the suggested half glass (3 oz pour) and had so much fun and learned so much. Little Blackbird takes all the guessing out which for an unknowledgeable but appreciative person of good food and drink like me is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend and we will be back. Try; burrata and apple, scallops, branzino and then butterscotch pudding and any suggested dessert pairing. Always go with their suggested wine pairing at a half pour.

Popped in for late evening drink and food and was more than pleasantly surprised. The food was creative and delicious, but the service was something I've not experienced since living in New Orleans. If Kyle is at the bar, sit at the bar, and trust him. He made solid recommendations and added fun for the palate.

I was so excited to try Little Blackbird after reading the reviews and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. Kyle was fantastic and engaging and took time to explain the pairings, which were so fun and delicious. The space is small but not stuffy. Just a lovely welcoming environment and a super fun menu. I will be back soon and often!

Was in DC for business and needed a place on the Metro we could get to from different directions. Other Yelpers said good things and it did not disappoint. The wine bar Mediterranean theme was fun and the food, libations and service were excellent. The place is small, however, so a reservation via Resy is key. The spectacular finish was the single malt butterscotch mousse. A must have.

The Little Black Bird surpassed all expectations, offering an extraordinary culinary journey from start to finish. As I stepped inside, I was immediately struck by the elegant yet cozy ambiance—a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth. The dim lighting and tasteful decor set the stage for an evening of indulgence. From the moment I was greeted by Bartender Kyle, I knew I was in for a treat. His genuine warmth and passion for mixology shone through as he expertly crafted each cocktail with precision and flair. Whether it was a classic martini or a creative concoction of his own invention, every sip was a delight to the senses.Kyle's knowledge of pairing wine with food was truly exceptional. His ability to recommend the perfect wine to complement each dish elevated the dining experience to new heights. Whether it was a full-bodied red to accompany the lamb or a crisp white to enhance the flavors of the seared scallops, Kyle's expertise ensured that every sip and bite harmonized beautifully, creating a symphony of flavors on the palate.Moving on to the dining experience, every dish that emerged from the kitchen was a work of art. The chef's dedication to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients was evident in every bite. Each plate was thoughtfully composed, showcasing a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. One standout was the seared scallops, perfectly caramelized and served atop a bed of creamy risotto infused with hints of saffron. Another highlight was lamb, tender and succulent, accompanied by a velvety red wine reduction that danced on the palate.Throughout the evening, the service was attentive yet unobtrusive, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the culinary experience. Bartender Kyle's infectious enthusiasm and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, making us feel like honored guests in his domain. As the night drew to a close, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unforgettable experience at The Little Black Bird. From the exquisite food to the impeccable service, and of course, the charm of Bartender Kyle, it was an evening to remember—a true culinary masterpiece."

This is cute spot. Kyle at the bar was wonderful. He turned my scallops from a tasty appetizer to a dessert with wine pairing. Nice food and spirit choices along with the wine. Will definitely be

I really wanted to like this place but it fell short on the wine and food. The service was good but the wines weren't interesting and where they lacked creativity with the food, they overcompensated with salt. Three of the dips on the Mediterranean platter were okay but the olive tapenade was barely edible it was so salty. The apple and burrata salad was boring. Most of the flavor for the sausage appetizer and flank steak entree came from salt. Ultimately, this wine bar lacked a point of view and doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Excellent service! The food was amazing, but Kyle took it to the next level with his wine pairings. I highly recommend sitting at the bar if Kyle is working.

My fiancé and I decided to spontaneously pop into Little Black Bird and we are so glad we did! We sat at the bar and were served by Kyle, a food and wine pairing extraordinaire. He was so knowledgeable and also so generous with tastings. Highly recommend the scallops! We can’t wait to return!
