Had my ID checked at the door and was confused as to why considering it's advertised as a coffee house... you scan the QR menu that says "little penn coffee house" and it's just an alcohol menu. No coffee at all. I asked the lady who checked our IDs at the front and she said "oh we need to update Google. We are just a sport bar now" :) so don't go here for coffee even tho 80% of their advertisement is FOR their non existent coffee shop

Came over here after visiting the museums and thought I'd get a coffee. First, I got my ID checked at 4:30pm but that could be just a DC thing. Sat at the bar and the bartender looked at me then asked "do you want something?" I asked for a coffee and she said they don't serve coffee there but they have espresso. I asked for a double shot and they have an automatic machine that dispenses it. There was sludge in the bottom of the espresso cup. Clearly made a bad choice in visiting here.

Went here to attend a Profs and Pints lecture. The place isn't much to write home about...it's a very basic room upstairs from Penn Social. It feels like a bit of an afterthought and I can't say I'd hang out there except for attending specific events.Having said that, the service is basic but very good, and the food was surprisingly delicious! The pan pizza was very tasty and the happy hour drafts were reasonably priced and very good. They stock Compass coffee if you'd prefer caffeine over alcohol.

Stay away. Get your coffee from one of the other 10,000 HONEST coffee shops in the area. Ordered a small decaf Americano. Menu board clearly says $2.50 (I even took a photo) and got charged $5. When I pointed out the error, I was told that she has to enter it in the computer as an espresso for $2.50 and then press the Americano option that adds an additional $2.50 and that I would have to call management. I called the number on the business card she gave me out of principle and left a voicemail and never heard back. Shocking.

Usually this place is empty until Happy Hour. I went in for lunch once with no one there except for the employee who was eating lunch, and my welcome felt like I was a burden. I waited 15 minutes for an easy order that came from the basement. They don't prepare the food in front of you. Couple that with the lack of customer service, I won't be coming here again.

Waste of money. Food is HORRIBLE. On the left, is supposed to be Crab Dip, with REAL crab meat. More like cream cheese and Old Bay, with no crab meat at all. On the right, is supposed to be Crab and Corn Chowder. Down, right nasty. Instead, I got a side of potatoes with a drizzle of chowder and of course, NO CRAB. I'll never eat here again. Down, right, misleading and disgusting..

Was surprised when I arrived that it is definitely a sports bar. That being said, I was too hungry to find somewhere else. Goat cheese and veggie panini honestly hit the spot.

Saw this place on my walk and stopped inside. I ordered a latte and it was decent. I think for being on the go it was a good place to stop into but I don't think I would necessarily go out of the way for this place. But if I'm in the area and happen to pass it I would maybe stop back inside. I did notice that there are a TON of tables. So I can see how if you work from home this me be a good place to work.

Lovely place to grab a latte (a beer later in the day) and/or a bite and sit quietly or have an informal work meeting

Stopped by Penn Social for happy hour and to reminisce with a friend about all the fun times we had at Penn Social pre-covid. Be aware- at this point, either Penn Social is false advertising, or they have yet to update Google, websites because it is no longer a "sports bar". It's a fancy, expensive coffee shop with two large TVs on the wall. They do serve alcohol, and you're welcome to get a drink at 16-18 bucks a pop. We were so saddened and tried to go downstairs. It was locked. Apparently that's only an event space now.

I went around lunch time (12:30 ish) and it's a nice place to work, but they stop serving breakfast foods (croissants and such) at 11AM. They do have a food menu, but the food is definitely pricey ($16-18) The coffee was...ok, but nothing to brag about. I probably won't come back, but it was ok for the day.

Everything was great except the bowling. Had to change lanes twice due to equipment malfunction. Also, there were about 15 bowling lanes and we were the only group bowling when they tried to put a big group on the lane right next to us. When I asked why when there were so many other open lanes, they said several were not working and others were reserved for later. Not a good bowling experience. Food, drink and wait staff were great
