Celebrated my birthday with their omakase express menu! Robin & Alexis were so accommodating and friendly. We loved sushi already (and had AYCE earlier in the weekend) but this experience elevated our love for sushi. Thank you for going out of your way to make my day so special!

I lived in Japan for a while and the food here is comparatively as good as Japanese nigiri.
Hamachi and otoro nigiris are delicate and give you joy.

My favorite meal and culinary experience in DC at the moment. The omakase for one is a very good value and filling. The milk buns with miso butter might be my favorite bite in the city right now and it is so fun! JBBQ is the absolute best!

Great place, the lunch Omakase was so solid! The place is a little bit loud but such a great space. Also, hopefully I get the names right but Tidel Sanchez(server) and Robin(host) were so friendly and helpful! next time we are in DC we will stop again

Absolutely love Makoto! First visit at the food hall I tried a matcha latte and the matcha-vanilla soft serve—coconut-based, flavorful, and delicious. Came back for lunch and the ramen, chicken sandwich, dumplings and donut were totally worth it. Amazing flavors and such a great spot!

I had dessert at the Love on the Run concept and it was delicious! I was welcomed in by Robin and she explained the concepts to me and was just so polite. I will definitely be back to try another concept.

Dear Sushi for lunch was amazing! Robin is a lovely host. Remi was our server and she was so warm and made sure to take care of us. Definitely coming back for a date night. Love this DC sushi spot.

Came here for the Korean BBQ and got the omakase platter which came with a fermented cold plate, 4 different meats, and a black cherry cream pop. Everything about this experience was top notch from the service to the quality of the meats. I left perfectly full but not stuffed to the brim.

For our first dinner in D.C. we decided to have Japanese BBQ. The omakase was fantastic. All Hugh quality and delicious. The milk buns and the tuna crispy rice starters were also fantastic. And the service was also wonderful. I’d happily come back on my next trip to D.C.!!!

Had the wagyu tower and the meat quality was good, but for the 255 they ask for it, I expected better. The quantity of food given was good though. The wagyu fried rice was good, and the the lychee martini was nice. The service was ok, it was better about 2-3 years ago though.
