Lots of choices for lunch, drinks, and desserts. My Chicken Teriyaki ($16.95) was very tasty and a good value. Dessert was Hot Chocolate ($4.95) with a slice of Banana Nut Cake ($2.50). Prices are reasonable and service was quick. The only downside was that it was uncomfortably cold inside. Space heaters in the winter and fans in the summer might make dining there more pleasant. Conveniently located across the street from the Gallery Place Metro.

Not welcoming for people with service dogs. A man who claims he's the security guard, manager, and owner was belligerent. He does not know the law and refuses to listen. We came in as a group and took some time to decide what to eat. It was only after my wife, who has mobility issues, sat down while I was finishing the order, when he cornered her. She was completely by herself when he confronted her. He did not ask the legal two questions. Instead, he asked if the dog was wearing a vest, which her dog clearly was, and if we had a registration card, which are not the legal questions to ask. He kept on insisting he knew the law despite our numerous attempts to show him important, legal documents to clarify the questions he should have asked us and future patrons with service dogs. He refused to verify what he should be asking.

While the real owner seems fine, this man completely ruined our experience. He made no attempts to listen or adjust his aggressive behavior and mannerisms.

I would love to give the food hall 5 stars. All of the vendor staff we interacted with were wonderful and the food was excellent. It's clean, comfortable, and has a nice atmosphere. I'm giving it 1 star because the security guard we encountered is extremely unprofessional and misinformed about ADA law.

I travel with a task trained medical alert service dog who was wearing a vest that clearly marks him as such. As I was getting ready to sit down the security guard essentially cornered me and told me that a service animal has to wear a vest due to the law (which is not true per the ADA). I showed him my dogs vest and told him that per ADA law, they do not need to wear a vest. He became very belligerent and told me he knows the law and they do. I pulled up ADA.gov and tried to show him the law and then he told me that federal law does not apply in DC. I asked if I could speak to a manager and he told me he was the manager. I asked to speak to the owner and he said he was the owner. I asked for his name and he refused. He yelled at me and he yelled at my husband. I ultimately found the phone number for the food hall and did speak to the actual manager, who was very kind and apologetic about the situation but I don’t know if there will be any kind of resolution for this. I was yelled at and people were staring when I just wanted to eat some dumplings.

Would I recommend this food hall to most people, possibly. Would I ever come back, absolutely not. I would urge some serious caution to people who require a service animal. There are so many wonder restaurants that know the law and will treat you with dignity and respect. Please support them.

I ordered food in front of the employees. After 30minutes I asked if it was ready, they said the kitchen was closed today because there was nogas.
They watched us wait for30 minutes when they knew we would never get our food and only got a refund because we to to. 0. . fight with the employees about ie.

We waited 30mins after ordering and asked how much longer. Only after they saw us order and we asked did they tell us they're out of gas and couldn't prepare the food. Also it smelled like sewage the whole time we were waiting.

Stopped in close to closing time, and stayed longer than planned having a lovely conversation with the staff over dumplings and drinks. My only complaint is the December music selection caused me to lose whamageddon #iykyk

The lo mein noodles, soup dumplings, and pork dumplings were the worst thing I’ve ever ordered out. Tasted absolutely rotten. Smelled horrendous. My friends all gagged at the smell. 0/5 AVOID

Beyond my expectations !Luna Food Hall DC is next to my hotel. The outside is not very appealing but I went anyway. I ate there twice and had good experiences. I had Tonkatsu Ramen the first time and it was so good. Almost as good as those in a fancy restaurant. The second time we had scallion pancake, pan-fried noodle, and vegetable noodle soup. All good.
Anyway, I believe this food hall needs some recognition for the tasty food. There is also an Asian bakery and many visitors bought those fancy French bakery goods.

We ordered dumpling soup and stir-fried noodles from Dumpling District here, and it was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve had. The noodles were bland and had a strange smell, and the dumpling soup was nothing like described. It had almost no flavor. Maybe it works for people who like very plain food, but it was a total disappointment for me. Such bad food I can’t even think about it!

After waiting almost 2 hours to be served, I got my dinner and was charged double the amount than my friend that is Caucasian. We both ordered the same meal, but she got her meal within 8 minutes! We went back to her place after leaving the restaurant and I immediately got sick! I just got out of the hospital for food poisoning. These people have to be racist and did something to my food. As for my friend, she said today she feels a little under the weather, but we're unsure if it's due to TKK's food. I'll update this review later for an update on my friend's health and if she's food poisoned from TKK'S food or not. I also just did some research on this restaurant. On TikTok, I see several other's that are black/African American had really bad experiences here as well. I think this matter needs to be taken care of immediately.

The staff were very rude, especially one man who spoke harshly to a customer about sitting at a table. The whole place went silent — it was uncomfortable to watch.

The food is great, but this place is more of a grab and go. The upkeep of the overall space isn't the best, so don't expect a full on dining experience - but the soup dumplings and pastries will have you coming back.
