What a treat this restaurant is! We did the Chef 5 course menu, everything was truly delicious. My favorite was the Parisian gnocchi. But the duck and vol-au-vent was also outstanding. Service strikes the perfect balance of relax, helpful and informative. We took a cab there and back because parking is almost impossible. Make a reservation from their website or your chances of getting a table are slim. Though not cheap, it was well worth the price. We are super happy with our evening.

Wife and I went to sample the fare of a 1 Michelin star chef. Getting a same-day reservation for brunch was super easy. The place is small, but cozy. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were off to a great start with the biscuits and basil, butter, and tomatoes confit. Yummy. The steak tartar was also a hit, but the harissa was a bit too spicy for my wife. She ordered the duck confit, and I got the tuna Niçoise, both of which were dry and very salty. Be prepared to pay a 20% service fee that’s included. Would be nice if they alerted customers of that on the menu.

The food at Lutece is beautifully put together! Very thoughtful presentation and flavors were delicious. Especially enjoyed the aubergine appetizer but everything we ordered was great. Restaurant gets busy so recommended to come weekdays or earlier hours.

They do have very good service, atmosphere, and considering how many HORRIBLE upscale restaurants there are in DC, this is not one of them… Fair price point, and food is fresh and good flavors.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. If you want a fresh take on French cuisine, I recommend Lutèce! We were lucky in getting in without a reservation for a Saturday lunch.
We loved the sweet brioche, the Parmesan cabbage and the tuna entree.

The dishes were inventive, evenly balanced, and down right GOOD. The restaurant is tight; do not expect a secluded table. If you are a larger person, the patio seating tables seem to provide a bit more room. We were thoroughly impressed with this restaurant.

one of my all time favorite restaurants. great food, perfect service. a dangerous place for a gourmand like me. one time we had a meal so extravagant that my loved ones temporarily banned me from ordering for the table for a period of time. I’m out of jail now though and I look forward to running up another insane check again soon. can’t wait to come back. the desserts are otherworldly.
