Chef Eric Ziebold did an amazing job of presenting Virginia’s southern style in an elegant way! All ingredients are local! You can easily find the southern spirit in each dish! And they are so refined!
Gourmet dining experience
We had the most amazing birthday dinner. The food was flavorful and the dishes were well thought out. We also thought the cocktails were scrumptious. We have been to other so-so Michelin star restaurants and Metier deserves its star!! Can't wait to return.

Metier is a restaurant that offers a tasting menu with exceptional food and great service. The staff is attentive and the sommelier is knowledgeable and helpful. The ambiance is welcoming and the front of house staff are excellent. They can accommodate dietary restrictions, such as vegan options. The menu is thoughtful and the chefs put meticulous care into each dish. However, some customers found the dishes to be not very memorable and lacking a personalized touch in the descriptions. The experience can last about two hours for a six-course tasting menu. Overall, while the food is delicious and the service is great, some customers feel that at the current price point, there are other Michelin-starred restaurants that offer a better value.
