I ordered a lentil sambusa and a veggie platter and the service was quick! However none of the platter's food was well seasoned except for the shiro wot and the sambusa was cold! I'm disappointed based on the other reviews

A wonderful, authentic Ethiopian restaurant/cafe with great service. I had the vegetarian platter and it was delicious. I was very touched because I accidentally left a small thing on the table and the owner had a customer rush after me to return it (I had already crossed the street and was halfway down the block). I’ll definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone who likes delicious Ethiopian food.

Don't bother. Asked 4 times for extra kikilcha, paid for but never received it. Food was cold, like ice cold, and asked for very mild...hot spice on salad?? and on red lentils??? What the heck. Asked for extra injira, never got but not charged. 3 coffees, veggie food for for 4 with 4 mistakes. Gave a 15% tip on to go $94 ..im sorry for that ! Never again. Rip off!

Delicious food, generous serving, wonderful service… will definitely return. Delicious vegetarian combination has 7 different vegetables, very nice. The injera is really fresh, and the coffee is great too.

I was craving Ethiopian food for lunch and wanted to try a new spot in the neighborhood. Maleda was nearby and had excellent reviews and I can attest that everything about this spot is WONDERFUL. I've passed by dozens of times without noticing because it's pretty assuming from the outside. One of the owners, who was super sweet, offered me some delicious bread while I waited for my order. We got two veggie platters that were really excellent - well spiced, fresh, generous portions, and wasn't oily like other spots. I already can't wait to go back. Also, their sambusas were SO GOOD. Hope they thrive and continue to do well in this location!
