I do not understand how anyone could give this place under 5 stars! Last night was our 6th time going. We have yet to have any bites that aren’t phenomenal! It is one of the few DC spots that is truly unique but not stuffy! The entire staff make this place such a fun spot! We will be back for a 7th time!

We will most definitely be back. Charming interior, but the food was what really blew us away. We really enjoyed the fois gras, duck wings, the dumplings, and the shrimp and grits. They surprised us with this delightful soup that had everyone in the restaurant talking. This is a great place to impress visitors.

Phenomenal duck - best dish I've had all year. All other dishes we tried were also spectacular. And the cocktails too! My new favorite restaurant in town. Service was impeccable as well - our waiter understood our specific dietary restrictions very well and the kitchen was able to accommodate effectively.

Portion pretty small , taste wise we all like the deep sauce flavours , but honestly the chicken cut & dumplings super small . A bit pricey for the small portion . But service very good .

This place is great. Food is good, service is great and the ambience perfect and quiet enough to have a conversation. My meal was very hot when brought to my table which means it was recently prepared. I will definitely be going back. I had the fried fish and it was delish! Cheers to the chef.
Fried oysters for starter (very delicious), mallard burger for main & "coffee &cigarettes" for a dessert with some draft beer and wine was an excellent choice. The burger was moist with a ton of flavour and the coffee was built in the dessert with some crunchy texture overall. Absolutely a recommended place to eat!

Mallard was INCREDIBLE!! Service was great, food and drinks were amazing, and the ambiance was great. We went in a group for my sister’s 25th and they treated us like royalty. I highly recommend Mallard to everyone!! We’ll definitely go again!

Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. Everything we ate was delicious! We had the fried oysters, shrimp and grits, lamb neck and brussel sprouts. The space is beautifully decorated and the vibe is great. We had our 9 month old with us too. Service was really attentive. Chef Hamilton is truly talented!
