I really wanted to like this spot since it’s close to me, but my experience was very disappointing. I ordered a margarita and taquitos, and while eating I noticed a bug in my lettuce. When I brought it to the bartender/waiter’s attention, instead of apologizing he tried to gas light me & say “some lettuce come like that.” That’s not how food safety works — lettuce should be washed properly.

They eventually comped my plate but then randomly tried to charge me an extra $5 for bringing “outside” alcohol and putting it in the margarita (it was juice that was warm that I wanted to enjoy cool). , which is not written anywhere on the menu. The whole situation was handled very unprofessionally. Mistakes happen, but the way staff responds makes all the difference, and in this case, it left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.

I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because cleanliness and professionalism should be a priority when serving customers.

Truly enjoyed my visit here today. Everything was delicious and our server Karen was very attentive to us. Exceeded our expectations. Would definitely be going back and recommending this hidden gem.

Very cute and clean out of the way Salvadoran restaurant. Worth a stop if you’re in the area! Had a great weekend lunch, tried the papusas (get the revueltas!) and tacos, as well as a couple different margaritas. Very reasonably priced and really delicious.

I’ve had papusas from several places, these are handmade and very fresh.

Great spot in an area without a ton of good options. This is a particularly good spot close to Washington Latin to grab some tasty and reasonable food and enjoy a drink. The staff are friendly and accommodating and our drinks were tasty. Uncommon, but welcome way they do mixed drinks is that you choose the drink and then you choose the alcohol -so you can go cheap or you can for a more top-shelf experience. My food was good. I had the Birra tacos and for me they were better than many because they weren't dripping in grease. The Veggie Burrito was a great and fresh option, packed with lots of different vegetables and very flavorful. We enjoyed our outing here. Prices were reasonable -especially the beer.

Pork belly was over cooked and yuca was undercooked.

Excellent service. Very well priced and long happy hour Monday-Friday 3-7pm that has both food and drink specials. Food varied in likability. The chicken dishes were all outstanding. I’d recommend the wings. The beans in the chicken burrito were a bit too salty but it was balanced if you had a bite with everything. The veggie burrito was uniquely flavorful. The chicharron was just pork ribs not the fried pork belly/skin you would expect and they were kinda dry. Overall there were some good dishes with outstanding flavors but some dishes had flaws so the menu is inconsistent but the sauces were outstanding and the drinks were reasonably priced. For a local spot it contributes to the needs of the area with a great atmosphere and a fun spot to enjoy with friends and family. Restaurant is noticeably clean, well decorated, and colorful. Will definitely recommend and try again.

This place has one of the best horchatas I've ever had. The birria tacos were also perfect. The pork was a bit dry on the yuca con chicharron. Overall, very delicious and friendly service.

Had the beans and cheese pupusas, chicken quesadilla, and the chicken taquitos and everything was so good. One of the best quesadillas (if not the best) I’ve had in DC. Must try.

Best pupusas I had from a restaurant! We had pupusas revueltas, de loroco and zucchini. Tacos: chicken, shrimp and beef. Also had birria tacos. Everything was very good and waitress was very friendly and attentive. Will be going back soon.
