What a great experience! Our guide, Elizabeth, was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. It was fun to get off of M street and learn about some of the historical significance and preservation efforts in the community. Of course the food was the highlight. Good variety of local flavors and generous portions to boot. Would definitely recommend!

We did a Georgetown foodie tour and Elizabeth was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the community of Georgetown and the establishments. The food was amazing! Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed the experience.

MANGIA MANIA! AN AWESOME FOODIE TOUR!Mar 2024 • FamilyWe couldn't have asked for better weather than we had on this clear, crisp early spring Sunday. And what better place to spend it than historic old Georgetown in our nation's Capitol.What really made this event so special were the four very unique eateries we were led to by our guide, each one offering the most unique, & tasty offerings, from phenomenal Pirozhki's at Stachowksi's, awesome brisket sliders from City Sliders, delicious vegetarian tacos from Chaia Georgetown, and fantastic Blondies from Dog Tag Bakery.But what really pulled this all together, & made it so special was our tour guide Brian. His pleasantly warm personality, & extremely articulate delivery of some of the most interesting tidbits & anecdotes about the places we passed along the way, was just perfect.Whether you are a lifelong Washingtonian like me, or a visiting tourist, you'll really enjoy this event. It's not too long, & it's not too short. It's just right. It's a perfect little outing you're sure to enjoy...don't forget to bring your appetite! :-}}

My friends and I had such a great time celebrating my birthday with a ravioli cooking class hosted by the Mangia team! We thoroughly enjoyed the chef presentation and competition aspect of the class. Chef Maria was amazing!!! Everyone on the team was very friendly and helpful and made my birthday celebration so special. All in all, it was an absolute hit and we hope to return for more events in the future.

Amazing food tour. The places we went to were all delicious. The portions were also very sizable so we were stuffed by the end of it. Elizabeth, our tour guide was amazing. She’s very knowledgeable about the area and added to the food experience with interesting history about the area. Highly recommend!

We did the Georgetown Foodie and Neighborhood Walk with Brian. It was a beautiful October day for this amazing tour! Brian was personable, friendly and knowledgeable of the neighborhood and restaurants we visited. If you have special requests (vegetarian, no gluten, etc) let them know when you make your reservation or at the beginning of the tour; they will accommodate you! I highly recommend this tour. Brian did a great job but was only tipped my me and my husband; if your guide did a good job throw them some $$.

Four friends visiting DC for the weekend, the food tour was booked.On the morning of the flights from U.K. I was unable to go due to a heart problem.I contacted Mangia within their cancellation period to cancel two of us.It was very difficult to contact them maybe due to the time difference.Was told not possible to cancel just two of us because it was booked through TripAdvisor but we could have a 5 year voucher.I explained our friends were on their flight and wanted to go in the tour but Mangia cancelled us all anyway and filled our places.Our friend were furious and blamed me just for asking for a refund for us two.Ten year friendship gone.But guess what ? Mangia cancelled the tour for everyone on that day but too late for our friendship.So bottom line book with Mangia direct and they will only want to give a voucher for future use if you can’t make the tour even within cancellation period.

Wow, what an amazing time we had on our tour. From the planning stages, Dave was extremely helpful and detail oriented. We quickly organized a private tour in Georgetown, keeping in mind food allergies for our group of 11 women. Dave was very responsive and assisted us with information about parking and navigating where to find our tour guide, Marsha. As soon as we met Marsha, we were blown away. She was fabulous! From the get go, she was engaging, friendly, and enthusiastic. She's extremely knowledgeable about the area and all of the historical and interesting stops along the tour. The restaurants were delicious and everything was set for us when we arrived at each place. Staff at the restaurants were all friendly and helpful as well! Throughout the tour, I had girls coming up to me and asking me where I found Mangia DC and what a wonderful activity; they absolutely LOVED it! We were comfortably full, interested in further exploring the area, and happy as can be. We have the Mangia DC team, especially Marsha, to thank for that!We also loved the mission of Mangia DC. They give back to those in need and bring us to restaurants with amazing stories and missions. The cherry on top!I could not say one negative thing about our experience and I am excited to recommend to others.

Do this tour!!! So good. Brian, the tour guide, really knows his stuff. He’s very warm, welcoming, informative and entertaining. The tour itself was pleasantly surprising as I did not know much about Georgetown prior to coming. The four stops for food were SO good, especially at City Sliders. You will not be disappointed. 10/10.

Had such a great time with Christine! She gave us a great tour of Georgetown and we stopped at 4 different establishments. The food was amazing and plentiful, I even had leftovers in a box! I liked that we got to rest at each location and take our time eating. I've been on many food tours and this one was one of the best.

I did the Georgetown foodtour yesterday (22 April). It was an excellent finish to my 2 week USA vacation. The food and the tour were great!! Lots of fun little tidbits about houses and the restaurants. Our tour guide McKendry did great, she had good energy, despite the rain (and it was bad for a while!!) So 5 out of 5 for me!

Was not able to take the tour as the address provided in the confirmation email was for a post office and finance station. Confirmation emails from OpenTable are not to be trusted.

McKendry was totally engaging and charming. She was knowledgeable and was a great storyteller. Each food stop was a different type of food and each place had a history. We had a great time and would take the tour again especially if McKendry was the guide.

Had a fabulous evening at Mangia as part of a corporate event. What a wonderful concept! We made some fabulous cocktails with their team and tried a variety of local food. I've lived in DC and my crew skipped the walking tour in favor of visiting some of our favorite bars, but I can't say enough about the incredible staff that went above and beyond to get us buzzed and teach us about DC! I'mA former DC tour guide and I learned some things!
