Had a wonderful time at the 25th anniversary celebration. The food ; wine; and drinks were spectacular. The service was overwhelming! My wife and I love this special place. Everyone needs to experience the greatest restaurant in town! You be pleased you went.

marcels_dc is one of the restaurants where I celebrated my birthday. The ambiance and service were amazing!!! Honestly, the service was one of the best I've ever experienced. That is due to the waiter Giovanni Scognagianni. He made me feel special and even convinced me to travel to Italy soon. THATS how good he was!!! I truly enjoyed my experience at @marcels_dc. I felt like a celebrity because I had the entire place to myself the ENTIRE time!!! I rated it 4/5 because the food wasn't spectacular. The service was amazing though!!! Here is a list of what I ate. - Drink: Midas Touch -Amuse Bouche- Mushroom cigar - Baby Arugula & Beet Tops, Crème Friache, Shaved Marcona Almonds, Pickled Red Onion, Caraway Vinaigrette - Jumbo Lump Crab Tagliatelle - Pan Seared Foie Gras - Boudin Blanc with black winter truffle - Pear & Cream Cheese Mille - feuille

White linen. Superior service. Impeccable delivery. Stupendous cuisine. These descriptions do not give Marcel's the justice it deserves. Vinny and team provided the finest dining I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Wonderful place to dine, great people and service with fantastic food. Spent our anniversary there, the drinks are wine was over the top. This is a must go to restaurant for everyone to experience.

The food was phenomenal. The experience was special. What set Marcel’s apart from other restaurants was the service. From the moment we walked in multiple staff members greeted us and asked us how we were.Enrique was an absolute delight. He took time to discuss the menu and was part of what made our experience so wonderful. Delante was a gem and took time out of his evening to discuss the wonderful dishes as well. Every course was amazing and unique and full of flavor. I really liked that we were able to choose from a variety of options and tailer the chef’s tasting menu to our likes.

2nd time coming to Marcels and it did not disappoint. We went for our 10 year anniversary and everything about Marcels- food, atmosphere, service made our anniversary dinner very special, they even gave us an extra dessert plate that said Happy Anniversary. Our server Enrique was amazing, he delivered top notch upscale service, always ready to place our napkins when we sat, kept our food and drinks coming perfect timing, and was funny and personable talking to us like family. Everyone was very nice. Every dish was delicious, impressive and unique which is what we love most. The only things I would change is to bring back the caviar appetizer item and the escargo they had on the menu about 6 years ago it was amazing, also the desserts were not as impressive with taste, and the 1st time it was like the waiters were hiding but were always right there on point refilling and serving you when needed I missed that lended to a fun mystery experience. But still a very special place and we will be back for other special occasions.

I was here for a Solidarity Dinner. The people were so friendly. The food was good, I just wish it was a little bit more food for the money.

Marcel's is one of the finest restaurants in DC. The food is sophisticated, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is elevated but not pretentious. Beyond the scalable, range of savory offerings -- and as someone not typically into sweets -- the dessert/cheese course was mind-blowingly phenomenal. It's no wonder it has survived in the constantly changing DC food scene.

The food was just incredible and delicious. Very elegant dinning and with very attentive service. Thank you Enrique for a warm welcome and amazing service. This place is definitely on the books the come back.

Very sophisticated food, elegant presentation and excellent wine pairings. But for an event for 50-60 on a weeknight, we were seated in a bland and crowded space behind the dining room, with chairs and tables so close together that diners couldn’t get out to use the restroom and servers could hardly move among the tables to serve the guests. No atmosphere or ambiance, no music or art on the walls. It felt like eating good French food in very small portions in a nameless hotel somewhere. And all this occurred on a midweek evening when the main dining room was 90% empty. I don’t get it.

I went to a charity dinner at Marcel's yesterday (price $95 plus a $25 donation to the charity) and had a wonderful evening. Four delicious courses, simple but perfect aragula salad, mushroom tortelli perfectly cooked and with an intense mushroom taste, delicious slightly crispy red snapper and a fantastic chocolate mouse/ salted caramel dessert. All 51 guests were served in good timing and the staff was excellent. The restaurant atmosphere is elegant. No loud music. I will definitely go back to this restaurant!

Went to Marcel's on 1/30/2024 for a group dinner, four-course prefix menu $120/person. The food was very mediocre, far from so called fine dining experience. first course arugula salad nothing special, second course two mushroom ravioli which was very chewy, third course red snapper size of a finger, I took two bites, and I was done eating my main course. We all filled up on bread which was so hard to come by! Finally, the dessert chocolate mousse nothing special. The wait staff are very robotic. It was very hard to get the wait staff attention. Don't waste your time and money. I feel cheated!

Went there for a group dinner, with four-course prix fixe menu, $120/person. First course was salad, nothing special. Second course was bay scallops, which was over-cooked and rubbery. Third course was red snapper. The piece was about 1"x1", I kid you not, and no vegetables on the side. Dessert was chocolate mousse, not the best I have had. After four courses, I was still hungry. Service can best be described as indifferent. At $120, this was the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time. I felt robbed.
